Some people have a way of brightening every room they walk into. For us, that's Kimani.
This Freedom Friday, we're celebrating a young man whose determination, enthusiasm, and incredible work ethic remind us why meaningful employment opportunities matter.
Kimani has autism and came to CIL Central Florida after a difficult experience with a previous job coaching provider. But that experience hasn't stopped him from working toward his goals.
With his bubbly personality, contagious smile, and willingness to take on just about any challenge, Kimani shows up ready to learn, grow, and give his very best.
Today, Kimani is gaining valuable hands-on experience at Bonnet Springs Park, where he's receiving on-the-job training alongside Javier, a Step Ahead consumer Project SEARCH graduate who is now sharing his own workplace knowledge and experience to help Kimani succeed.
There's something especially meaningful about watching someone who has worked toward their own employment goals turn around and help another person do the same.
Kimani continues to work hard toward an important milestone: securing his first job. His dedication and positive attitude are a wonderful reminder of how much can happen when determination meets opportunity.
We're incredibly proud of Kimani, grateful for Javier's mentorship, and thankful to Bonnet Springs Park for providing an environment where individuals can learn, grow, and develop their professional skills.
Help us cheer Kimani on as he works toward his first job!
