Another functional medicine testimonial. ☺️ Just a few “side effects” of making some changes to diet, nutrition, and lifestyle include weight loss, more energy, balanced hormones, better sleep. Have something you’re struggling with and been told your labs are normal? Let us help!

Heads up patients! Your pain is not always structural and can be systemic. These are always things I’m considering when you’re under my care. 🩷

Osteoarthritis progression accelerates during menopause due to enhanced cartilage degradation and inflammatory signaling. When a woman presents with simultaneous knee pain, finger stiffness, and hip discomfort, without specific injuries, the pattern often maps to systemic hormonal loss rather than mechanical wear. Recognizing the multi-site pattern as menopause-related allows you to implement systemic interventions rather than pursuing separate orthopedic pathways.

What does a functional medicine doctor eat? 🍲 It doesn’t have to be complicated! You don’t NEED a bunch of fancy recipes to meet your goals. Keep it simple. Shrimp, rice, cucumbers and golden berries.

So many (and I’m especially talking to YOU perimenopausal/menopausal women) but this includes everyone, are not getting the protein they need. It helps makes hormones, muscles, forms enzymes, helps your immune system, and so much more. Struggling with body composition? Probably not getting your protein. 🥴

Shout out to for helping even me learn how keeping it simple and consistent pays off. 💪🏽

Did you get your protein in today?
