The annual Reliant Foundation 5K presented by Amazon.com , held on Saturday, October 3, drew more than 250 participants and raised over $30,000. Proceeds from the event will fund the Foundationโs Community Grants Program in support of youth mental health and behavioral health programs and services, substance use prevention and recovery resources for individuals of all ages, support for the mental health workforce pipeline, and initiatives to reduce stigma around these issues.
The Presenting Sponsor for this yearโs race was Amazon, joined by Run Sponsor Aponi Aesthetics, while the Jog Sponsors were Seven Hills Foundation, YMCA of Central MA, Coghlin Companies, and Senior Connection. Tent Sponsors were Cornerstone Bank, Country Bank, Rockland Trust Foundation, Open Sky Community Services and Quinsigamond Community College. Other generous sponsors included George F. & Sybil H. Fuller Foundation, Middlesex Savings Bank, and Mass General Brigham HealthPlan. The In-Kind Sponsors included Sneakerama, Polar Beverages, Poland Spring, Cumulus Media, Wegmanโs and Shoreline A/V. Longtime community event partners assisting with race planning and logistics were Bancroft School and the YMCA Greendale Family Branch.
The Reliant Foundation 5K served as the first race in the three-part โ5K for Goodโ Series โ a collaborative initiative led by Reliant Foundation, Abbyโs House, and Veterans Inc. Together, these organizations are proving that community partnerships can be a powerful force for good โ turning collective effort into meaningful change and celebrating the incredible things that happen when people unite behind a shared mission.
