One of the most common things I witness as a therapist for millennial moms is...
Constant apologizing. đźâđš
And not for harmful things. For existing as a human with needs.
âIâm sorry Iâm late.â
âIâm sorry Iâm crying.â
âIâm sorry I need to use the restroom.â
âIâm sorry I canât make that time work.â
A lot of millennial moms were raised to believe being easy = being lovable.
So now even normal human needs come wrapped in guilt. đ«
Most moms donât even realize how automatic this has become until someone points it out.
It's not a personality flaw, but conditioning, and thankfully those patterns CAN change. đȘ
If you saw yourself in more than one of these, thatâs usually a sign your nervous system could use support too.
