Gary Scheiner and Phil Southerland — CEO of Team Novo Nordisk, sat down on episode 114 of Think Like a Pancreas--The Podcast. They talked cycling, parenting, living with diabetes. Then, before they signed off, Phil said this about Gary:

"He's been one of the pioneers out there who does it on the ground with individuals... helping them achieve their goals."

That's not a testimonial. That's an incredibly accomplished athlete who has lived with diabetes for 44 years telling you, unprompted, what he thinks of Integrated Diabetes Services founder and clinician, Gary Scheiner.

If you want that kind of guidance — the on-the-ground, individual, goal-focused kind call (610) 642-6055 to get on his calendar today.

Amazing isn't it?

We agree! That is why on October 23 and 24th our very own Dana Roseman will be in Seattle, WA with Diabetes Connections. Be sure to "Ask her Anything” on Saturday morning.

Most CGM users spend 5–10% of their time without data. That's roughly 1–2 hours a day. That means no high/low alerts, no numbers for dosing decisions, no trending information, and no fuel for automated insulin delivery systems.

The Eversense 365, an implanted sensor, is reported to be free of these interruptions for a full year. Gary Scheiner wanted to know if that held up, so he had one implanted and started his own research.

Like any system, there were pros and cons. He liked that there were virtually no missed data points and that calibrations could be scheduled around his life. He was less thrilled with the tape changes and daily charging routine.

Who should consider the Eversense 365? Scan the code or visit the Integrated Diabetes Services website for Gary's full review and insights.
