Happy Father’s Day 💙
To the strong, loving, and supportive fathers—
To the birth partners who hold hands, wipe brows, and whisper encouragement—
To the diaper changers, the baby carriers, the midnight rockers—
To the men breaking generational cycles and showing up with heart…

You are seen. You are appreciated. You are loved.
Today, we honor you.

Midwives are the backbone of resilient healthcare. When midwifery care is accessible to all, we don’t just improve outcomes—we save lives.

By expanding access to midwife-led care by 2035, we have the power to prevent:
✅ 67% of maternal deaths
✅ 64% of newborn deaths
✅ 65% of stillbirths In every emergency, and in the quiet moments in between, midwives show up with skill, compassion, and life-saving expertise.

It’s not a luxury—it’s essential.

Don’t just “hope” for good care — ask for it. These 5 questions can shift your whole pregnancy experience:

What’s your birth philosophy?
How will you keep an eye on red flags (like preeclampsia)?
What happens in an emergency?
How do you support mental wellness?
What’s your communication style?

The earlier you ask, the better you’ll feel knowing your midwife is truly with you.

🌀 Save this. Share it. Start the convo.

Who holds space for you? Birth work is more than clinical skill. It’s spiritual.

It’s emotional. It’s personal. And when you witness pain, trauma, or loss again and again… it doesn’t just disappear when the baby arrives.

It stays—in your body, in your nervous system, in your breath.

🖤 Maybe you’ve witnessed a traumatic birth. 🖤Maybe you’ve been dismissed, silenced, or pushed past your own boundaries.
🖤Maybe you’ve told yourself to just “be strong” and keep it moving.

But the truth is: you weren’t meant to carry all of this alone. That unspoken grief?

The tension in your chest? The tears you swallow before your next shift? That’s not weakness.

That’s your body asking to be witnessed too. You deserve to feel clear. You deserve a space to unpack what you’ve seen. You deserve to feel whole while you help others birth theirs.

This is the real work. The healing behind the healing. If you’re ready to explore what you’ve been holding—and want support that gets it—ask me about Birth Story Sessions.

Because your story deserves the same sacred attention you give to others.

In my Midwife bag, you’ll find some amazing tools… TENS units, rebozos, essential oils, hip squeeze magic, and more.

But over time, I’ve noticed something: My bag gets lighter—and my presence gets stronger.

Because the real power in birth doesn’t always come from what I pull out of my bag… It comes from helping you trust your body. From calming your nervous system.

From creating space to surrender—mentally, emotionally, spiritually. Most times, it’s the simple things that bring the biggest release:

A well-timed massage Quiet encouragement Snacks and sips Silence Darkness Breath Birth isn’t about controlling every wave.

It’s about learning to ride them—with support that honors your power.

Comment “READY” if you’re preparing for an unmedicated labor and want a team that’s built to protect your peace.

Your words hold power—especially in the exam room. These slides are a continuation of our Birth Sovereignty series and are all about reclaiming your voice in medical spaces.

Too often, Black birthing people are silenced, minimized, or labeled “non-compliant.”

Not here. Not with us. We’re giving you clear, confident advocacy phrases that disrupt dismissal and demand accountability—without needing a medical degree.

🔸“Please document this concern in my chart.”

🔸“I’m not comfortable proceeding until my concerns are addressed.”

🔸“I expect informed consent throughout my care.”

These aren’t just words—they’re shields, strategies, and declarations of your sovereignty.

Your body. Your instincts. Your birth. Speak like it. 💬

Which of these power phrases are you saving for your next visit? Drop a 🔒 if you’ve been dismissed before but won’t be again.

She said something wasn’t right. They told her it was “normal.” It wasn’t. This is the story of a mom who trusted her gut — and saved her own life.

In my previous post, we were talking about the real warning signs of preeclampsia, how they’re often brushed off, and why listening to birthing people isn’t optional — it’s life-saving.

If you’ve ever been told “you’re fine” when you knew you weren’t... this is for you.

The future of birth is here—and I’m bringing it to Suffolk County.

After years of studying birth outcomes and educational approaches, I’ve developed a care model that goes beyond traditional midwifery.

I combine wisdom with evidence-based research because I believe families deserve more than standard care.

What I’ve found in my practice: when I take time to thoroughly educate my clients, their confidence soars and their birth experiences transform—regardless of setting.

This is why I’ve structured my prenatal care to include in-depth educational components that you won’t find elsewhere.

I’m committed to sharing my knowledge so you can make truly informed decisions about your birth.

What do you think makes your ideal Midwife?
