Wellness Wednesday 💛

Mama, you don’t have to finish everything before you’re allowed to rest.

The laundry can wait.
The dishes can wait.
The to-do list can wait.

You don’t have to run yourself into the ground to deserve a break.

Rest isn’t laziness.
It isn’t something you earn.
It’s part of how you keep showing up for the people you love.

So today, take the nap. Sit down. Put your feet up. Ask for help.

Taking care of yourself is part of taking care of your family. Matthew 11:28 💛

The first few weeks postpartum are not the time to “bounce back.” They’re the time to be held, nourished, and cared for.

These are some of the meals that carried me through my fourth trimester. Simple, nourishing foods that supported my recovery, breastfeeding, and the beautiful (and exhausting) work of caring for a newborn.

My focus during this season was protein-rich meals that were warm, easy to digest, and gentle on my recovering body. I chose mostly gluten-free and dairy-free foods to help support digestion and reduce unnecessary stress on my body while it was healing from birth.

Warm meals. Plenty of protein. Nutrient-dense ingredients. Snacks within reach. Lots of hydration.

Postpartum nutrition doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s simply asking: “What would help this mother feel supported today?”

This is the kind of care I believe every mother deserves, and is one of the many reasons why I’m so passionate about the work I do. A nourished mother creates a nourished home. When we pour into the woman who pours into everyone else, the whole family benefits. It starts with caring for mom.

After a beautiful season of welcoming our newest little one and soaking in those precious newborn days, I’m so excited to be opening my doors again and returning to serving growing families.

Postpartum is such a tender, transformative season…one where mothers deserve to be cared for, nourished, supported, and reminded that they don’t have to do it all alone.

At Desert Dove Wellness, my heart is to walk alongside families through the fourth trimester by providing practical, compassionate support in the home.

Whether you’re preparing for baby’s arrival, newly postpartum, or simply realizing you could use an extra set of hands… I’m here. 🫶🏼

Desert Dove Wellness is officially on maternity leave as I prepare to welcome our newest little dove. 🕊️

This sacred season is a time to rest, recover, and soak in the precious early days with my growing family. I am so grateful for every family who has trusted me to support them during their postpartum journeys, and I’m honored to take this time to embrace my own.

I plan to reopen my calendar for postpartum support in Fall 2026. Until then, thank you for your patience, prayers, and support as we welcome this new chapter. 💛

The Babies, Bellies, and B***s event was a wonderful time as expected! I got to talk to some beautiful and amazing mamas and mamas to be and their sweet families, as well as getting to know the other fantastic vendors. I knew this community had a lot to offer but I was pleasantly surprised at just how much support there is for families in every single stage of pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and parenthood! If you weren’t able to make it, you did miss out… but! They hold this event every year, so you’ll have a chance to join again 🥰 A special thank you to for making this event a reality, and a special shout out to 💛 I already cannot wait for next year!
