AED, please read!

If not trained on any partivular AED at your workplace or friends home, To get familiar with an AED that you may need to use at any given time;
1. Take a picture of the front and back of the AED.
2. Open Google Search and add the AED brand, model.
3. A Youtube video will come up that will show you how to use their AED.

This will save critical time when using for the first time in an emergency situation. Even though they are Universal, they are different. Just Remember, Seconds really do Matter!

Important Information:
AED Step-by-Step Operation
1. Power on: Turn the unit on by pressing the power button or opening the attached cover.
2. Expose the chest: Quickly rip or cut away clothing to reveal a completely bare, dry chest. Use the small towel or prep kit usually stored inside the case to wipe away moisture if needed.
3. Apply pads: Peel the backing off the sticky pads. Place one pad on the upper right chest below the collarbone, and place the other pad on the lower left side below the armpit, following the diagram on the pads. Pads also have pictures where Pads go.
4. Clear the person: Stop CPR and make sure no one is touching the victim while the device analyzes the heart rhythm.
5. Deliver shock if advised: If a shock is needed, the device will charge and flash a shock button. Shout "CLEAR," ensure nobody is touching the individual, and press the flashing button.
6. Resume CPR: Immediately follow the audio cues to resume chest compressions when prompted.
