25 years. ❤️

Today marks 25 years since I opened Pine Ridge Dental in Zimmerman, MN.

When I opened, I had two treatment rooms, one coworker, and a whole lot of hope for the future in this community. So much has changed over these 25 years - the practice, the technology, dental techniques and materials, dental insurance, and especially the way dentists and people think about dental care and loyalty.

But one thing has never changed for me:

The heart of Pine Ridge Dental has always been a commitment to being transparent, honest, respectful of time, and dedicated to providing quality, ethical dentistry in a warm and compassionate environment.

Dentistry isn’t something to rush through or to reduce to doing things as quickly or inexpensively as possible. There are level of dental care and I strive to do quality dentistry right. I strive to always use knowledge, ethics, experience, technology, and time to provide care I can be proud of.

And while so much of healthcare has become influenced by insurance, marketing, profit doctors and dentists being workers vs owners and pushed by a person or company forcing production - I still believe something very important: Dental care is healthcare it is an important part of overall health.

Today is about YOU.

Over the past 25 years, I have had the incredible privilege of caring for generations of families. I’ve watched children grow up, become parents, and bring their own children to see us. I’ve celebrated milestones with you, walked through difficult dental experiences with you, and gotten to know so many of you far beyond what happens in a dental chair.

That is the part of these 25 years that has impacted me the most. It is not the number of patients I’ve seen or the number of years I’ve been here, but the relationships and trust you have given me.

To every patient and family who has trusted me with their care over these 25 years:

Thank you. Truly.

Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for coming back. Thank you for sending your family and friends. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. Thank you for your loyalty.

And I couldn’t be more grateful.

It's not the filling that causes the toothache, it's the size of the cavity.

When a cavity is small, the repair is usually small too. But as decay grows, more healthy tooth structure is lost, and the treatment needed becomes more extensive. What could have been a simple filling may eventually require a crown, root canal, or even an extraction.

The best time to treat a cavity is before it starts to hurt. Catching decay early can help save tooth structure, reduce costs, and keep treatment much simpler.
