🥑 Fertility-Friendly Recipe: Omega Bowl with Crispy Salmon

A bowl that quietly does all the good things for hormone balance, egg + s***m health, and steady energy through your luteal-phase afternoons. Rich in omega-3s, antioxidants, and minerals that support ovulation and early pregnancy development.

✨ Why It’s Fertility-Friendly
• Omega-3 fatty acids (salmon, avocado) support healthy follicles, embryo development, and reduce inflammation linked to conditions like endometriosis.
• Magnesium + B-vitamins (quinoa, greens) help with hormone regulation and stress pathways.
• Antioxidants (greens, herbs, lemon) support egg + s***m DNA integrity.

🧡 The Omega Bowl
Ingredients (serves 2)
• 2 salmon fillets
• 1 tsp olive oil
• 1 cup cooked quinoa
• 2 cups mixed greens (spinach, rocket or kale)
• 1 avocado, sliced
• ½ cucumber, chopped
• Handful of pumpkin seeds (zinc boost)
• Lemon wedges

💚 The Dressing
• 1 small bunch fresh basil
• 1 small garlic clove
• 2 tbsp Greek yogurt (or tahini for dairy-free)
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• Juice of ½ lemon
• 1 tsp honey
• Pinch of salt

🧪 Method
1. Crisp the Salmon: Heat oil in a pan, place salmon skin-side down, and cook until crisp. Flip and cook 1–2 minutes more.
2. Blend the Dressing: Blitz basil, garlic, yogurt/tahini, oil, lemon, honey, and salt until silky and bright.
3. Build Your Bowl: Spoon quinoa into your bowl, layer on the greens, avocado, salmon, cucumber, and pumpkin seeds.
4. Finish: Drizzle the green goddess dressing over the top and add a squeeze of lemon.

💭 A small reminder:
Nutrition can support your fertility, but it’s only one slice of the whole picture. Think of meals as steady nourishment along the way, not magic bullets.

Fertility struggles? It’s not just a women’s issue. 👩‍🦰 + 👨‍🦱

40–50% of infertility cases involve male factors.
In 20–30% of cases, both partners contribute.

This is why testing both partners early can be key—it can give you answers faster and prevents unnecessary treatments.

It takes two to make a baby, and it takes two to understand fertility. 💙

Freezing your eggs? Here’s what our founder Maria wishes she knew before starting.

Egg freezing can be empowering, but it’s not as simple as hitting the ‘pause’ button on your fertility. From costs to emotional demands, there’s a lot you deserve to know before you start.

Some additional areas to consider are:
There’s no guarantee or promise for a baby later on and can take more than one cycle to retrieve a sufficient number of eggs
The process can be physically & emotionally demanding with the hormone injections, bloating, mood swings, multiple scans - plan for emotional support and downtime
The cost can add up when you factor in multiple cycles, medication and storage fees as well as future IVF
Consider a clinic with good success rates (e.g. live birth rate per thawed egg), storage policies and transparent pricing

Please note, this is Maria’s personal experience and opinions. As Maria works in the IVF field, she had more background knowledge on what the process entails and how demanding it can be. Please DM us to share your experience or tips!
