I’m an occupational therapist and I’m also on my own journey for health and wellness. Over the past 12 years as an occupational therapist I have met many clients and it is clear that the ones that continue to move are the ones that have a better health span. Meaning they continue to engage in their meaningful occupations throughout their lives in to later years.

It takes more than movement to age well however movement is a huge piece. I’m focusing on it right now and I’d love to have others join me on this journey.

I will plan to post here and also maybe start a private group for each focus area. I may even start a group type app to have tasks, videos, education classes but those apps cost 💲. Maybe if we get a good group one of those platforms could be supported though donations.

And your kindness towards Sue, you are very carrying for the people you take care of. You are very good at what you do. And we feel very comfortable having you in our lives. Walk-in tubs sound really cool and functional when you first hear about them. But there are a lot of functional considerations to think about before you make a choice to install one. I like this article for providing information and features available for walk-in tubs however they do very little to help the consumer problem solve if a walk-in tub is right for them. There is a lot to consider.

I’d recommend an evaluation from an occupational therapist to help you plan and problem solve if a walk-in tub is the right option for you or your loved one. It would be best to seek one out that has additional aging in-place or home modification training
