New gear day. 🩺💜

The Batclip leather stethoscope holder keeps your stethoscope secure, accessible, and off your neck, while the trauma shears holder keeps another essential right where you need it.

Handmade in Maine and built for nurses, EMS professionals, and other healthcare workers who put their gear to work every day.

And with plenty of colors to choose from, the hardest part might just be picking one. 👀

Which Batclip color would you pick?

Our Batclip leather stethoscope holder has changed over the years because healthcare professionals put it to the test every day.

Early Batclips used plain Velcro, but years of use in hospitals, clinics, ambulances, and veterinary practices showed us we could do better. Today, every Batclip stethoscope holder is assembled using military-grade Velcro with industrial-strength adhesive backing before it's stitched into place.

It's one of many improvements we've made since 1993, all inspired by feedback from the nurses, EMS professionals, physicians, veterinarians, and other healthcare workers who rely on Batclip every day.

Made in Maine since 2011. Built to last.

A fresh shipment of leather just arrived at our Maine workshop.

Every Batclip stethoscope holder and trauma shears holder starts right here before being cut, stitched, assembled, and inspected.

ER, ICU, EMS, veterinary, clinic, and hospital professionals have been using Batclip since 1993.

Which color would you choose?

This is what my average day looks like.

I've stitched every Batclip stethoscope holder by hand since 2011. More than 64,000 of them.

The work is repetitive.

The people who use them aren't.

Every holder that leaves our Maine workshop is headed to a different healthcare professional, with a different story, in a different corner of the country.

That's what keeps it interesting. 🩺

This is the last step before a Batclip leaves our shop.

Inspected, packaged, and shipped by hand from our family workshop in Maine.

The next time we see this stethoscope holder, it'll probably be clipped to a belt in an ER, clinic, ambulance, hospital, or veterinary office somewhere far from home. 🩺

One click.

That's how we cut dozens of Batclip parts at the same time.

The steel die is pressed into the leather with several tons of force, giving every stethoscope holder and trauma shears holder the same shape, every time.

Not quite as exciting as it sounds when we explain it that way. 😄

But it sure is satisfying to watch.

Meet Jacques.

He's the oldest machine in our shop, dating somewhere between 1880 and 1905.

Every day, Jacques helps us cut the leather that becomes Batclip stethoscope holders and trauma shears holders. He also serves an important secondary function as the shop's unofficial stress-management program.

Bad day? Frustrated? Need to work through some feelings?

Nothing improves morale quite like dropping a century-old blade through a piece of leather.

One pull of the handle. One perfect cut.

ER, ICU, EMS, veterinary, clinic, hospital, and midwifery professionals have trusted Batclip since 1993. Handcrafted in Maine since 2011.

A Batclip has three jobs:

1. Hold your gear.
2. Stay where you put it.
3. Do both for years.

The leather gets most of the attention, but the hardware matters just as much.

Every Batclip stethoscope holder is built with a steel clip secured by a steel rivet because the last thing a healthcare professional needs is equipment that lets go at the wrong moment.
