Do you ever feel that Scotland is calling you home?
Perhaps you were born here and have always felt that connection. Perhaps Scotland lives somewhere in your ancestral line. Or perhaps you have no clear explanation for it, but something within you responds when you stand amongst her mountains, stones and waters.
I believe many of us are remembering a relationship with the Earth that our ancestors once knew intimately.
Not as an idea or something we need to learn from the outside, but as a way of knowing that is still carried within our bodies and ancestral lines.
This is part of what makes gathering with my dear friend Eda, a Peruvian Curandera, so powerful.
Eda has lived in deep relationship with plants, mountains, land and ancestors throughout her life. She is not coming to give us her tradition to adopt.
But through witnessing the way she listens and relates to the living world, something within us begins to remember too.
And when women who feel this calling gather together, we help awaken that remembrance within one another.
Perhaps the feminine rising is not only about women stepping into their power. Perhaps it is also about restoring the reciprocal relationship between ourselves and the lands of our ancestors.
From 11–13 September, Katherine, Eda and I will gather with a small group of women in Argyll for Return to the Sacred Waters.
There will be time on the land, visits to sacred sites and space to listen more deeply in the company of women who feel this calling in their bones.
We have a couple of spaces remaining.
If you feel Scotland calling you home, comment WATERS or send me a private message and I’ll share the details with you.
