Runners, these are the 5 hip and glute moves we've loved lately and a good add to your running week. Save this for your next leg strength day 💪🏼
1. Rack-assisted single-leg RDL: one hand on the rack, dumbbell in the other. Stand on the leg opposite the dumbbell. Hips back, keep them square, squeeze the glute to stand.
2. Rack-assisted box step-downs: hold the rack, stand on the box, and slowly lower one heel to the floor. Knee stays over your toes. Drive back up through the top leg.
3. Single-leg hip thrust: upper back on a bench, one foot planted. Chin tucked, ribs down, drive your hips up and squeeze at the top.
4. Lateral band walks: band around your mid-shins, small steps, stay low in a quarter squat. Don’t let your knees cave in.
5. RFE / Bulgarian split squat: back foot on a bench, sink straight down, drive up through the front foot.
Pick 3 and do them twice a week. Start light and own the balance/control before you add weight.
