I said “go play outside,” not “summon something.”

If I go missing, it was my children. Or check my Instagram messages.

*UPDATE*

I asked the regulator. Yes, many of you are going to be annoyed a feral single mum in Tassie has picked up on this before you did lol.

They don’t define pricing.
They don’t define ‘affordable’.

So when you see words like
‘affordable’ or ‘low cost’…

what does that actually mean?

This is the gap I’ve been talking about.

What’s being said…
and what people are experiencing
aren’t always the same. #
And this isn’t just about charities.

This is a consumer law issue across Australia.

If any organisation uses words like ‘affordable’,
there should be clarity behind that.

Because right now… there isn’t a clear standard.

That’s why I started my petition.

Not to attack.
Not to shut anything down.

But to ask for consistency and transparency
around what ‘affordable’ actually means.

If you’ve ever walked into a shop and thought
‘this doesn’t feel affordable’…

you’re not alone.

Link’s in my bio if you want to support it.

Or just… start questioning things.

Unhinged psychology lesson… you didn’t agree to this… you just adapted to it.

Everything’s going up.
Groceries. Rent. Power.

And somehow… it’s just become normal?

A few years ago, spending $400 a week on groceries would’ve had you standing at the checkout like ‘what the hell just happened?’

Now people are doing it every week… and barely reacting.

That’s not because it’s reasonable.
It’s because your brain adjusts when things change slowly.

We get used to it.
We accept it.
We stop questioning it.

And the scary part?

It’s not just butter. It’s not just groceries.
It’s everything.

This isn’t about panic.
It’s about paying attention.

Because if you don’t question what’s changing…
you’ll slowly accept things you never would’ve agreed to in the first place.

Think about it.

Peaceful you say?

No.
My kids don’t do gentle.. or quiet.. or peaceful

Pterodactyl noises
Everything is a weapon
Near run off cliff moment
One is way too obsessed with fire
10kgs of pinecones now live in my house
Tried to rip out a tree but “did nothing”

They’re good kids…
but this is why I am insane

and why teachers deserve a billion dollars.

You’re arguing about charity

I’m talking about the word “affordable.”

We are not having the same conversation.

Boycott op shops? …pardon?

I love thrifting. It’s how I clothe my kids.

My issue has never been op shops.
It’s the word “affordable” being used when, for a lot of people, it’s just not.

So I took $50 into Ten Lives Cat Centre and this is what I got.

Multiple items. Good quality. Actually within reach.

This shop had $1 racks with brand names.
$2–$3 kids clothes.
$8 jackets.

Yes, there were higher priced items… because they were brand new, designer pieces.
That’s fine.

The difference? There were still plenty of options people could actually afford.

That’s the point. No Anko $50 jackets!!!!!

This is what it looks like when a place genuinely cares about its community .com.au

Not a boycott.
A standard.
