Estherea Baby Clinic
The early days of parenthood are filled with beautiful moments, but they can also bring plenty of questions and uncertainty. At Estherea Baby Clinic, our midwives are here to walk alongside you, offering compassionate, evidence-based care and support for both you and your baby.
When should my baby visit the Baby Clinic?
🌿Birth–6 weeks: Weekly visits
🌿6–12 months: Monthly visits
🌿12–24 months: Every 2 months
🌿2–5 years: Every 6 months
Why are these check-ups important?
The first six weeks are a time of enormous change for both mother and baby. Our weekly visits provide a safe space to ask questions, talk through feeding and settling, and make sure both you and your baby are doing well.
We monitor your baby’s growth, feeding and development, while also checking in on your recovery, emotional wellbeing and the developing mother-baby bond. We can also offer contraceptive counselling and screening for postpartum depression and anxiety.
As your baby grows, regular visits provide continued support with growth, development, feeding, immunisations and age-appropriate health education, while giving you the opportunity to raise any concerns along the way.
Our Baby Clinic services:
🌿First Baby Clinic Visit | 45–60 min
A gentle, comprehensive first visit including a top-to-toe assessment of your baby, growth and feeding monitoring, discussion of feeding preferences, and a check-in on your own recovery and wellbeing.
🌿Routine Baby Clinic Visits | 30 min
Ongoing monitoring of your baby’s health, growth, feeding and development.
🌿Developmental Screening | 45 min
Routine developmental screening, with a more detailed assessment available whenever you have concerns about your child’s development.
🌿Childhood Immunisations | 45 min
Routine private-sector childhood immunisations, together with a health and growth assessment.
🌿Breastfeeding Consultations | 60 min
Personalised breastfeeding support for mothers experiencing difficulties, available at Estherea or in the comfort of your own home.
🌿Postnatal Home Visits | 60–90 min
For mothers and babies following a C-section or hospital birth. Our midwives can support you in your own home while checking your recovery and your baby’s health, growth and feeding. An infant hydrotherapy bath is typically offered during the final visit. Three postnatal visits may be covered by some medical aids.
You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. Whether you have a question about feeding, your baby’s growth, your own recovery, or simply need reassurance, our midwives are here to support you through those early months and beyond.
