We currently have Five Planets in Retrograde plus today we also experience the Full Moon in Ta**us - itâs a Big Deal!
Sometimes life has a way of bringing us face to face with the very things we thought we had already worked through.
The patterns we thought we had broken.
The truths we thought we had accepted.
The relationships we thought we had made peace with.
The parts of ourselves we tucked away because facing them required more courage than we had at the time.
And then, somehow, they find their way back into our awareness.
Not necessarily because we have gone backwards, but because perhaps we are finally ready to see them differently.
Right now, five planets are in retrograde, each carrying its own astrological symbolism around reflection, reassessment and transformation.
And when I look at the bigger picture, I find myself reflecting on how much of this mirrors the human experience.
đŞNeptune asks us to question our illusions.
What have we mistaken for truth simply because we have believed it for so long?
How much of what we believe about ourselves has actually been shaped by the expectations, fears and conditioning of others?
Sometimes awakening begins when we realise that the story we have been living is not necessarily the truth of who we are.
đŞSaturn asks us to take responsibility.
Not for everything that has happened to us, but for what we choose to do with what we have learnt.
We can spend years repeating familiar patterns, hoping that somehow the outcome will be different.
But at some point, awareness has to become a choice.
And choice has to become action.
We cannot build a different future while continuing to make every decision from the beliefs that kept us bound to the past.
đŞUranus invites us to break free.
To question the rules we inherited.
The expectations we absorbed.
The versions of ourselves we created to belong, to be accepted, to be loved.
There comes a time when fitting into someone elseâs definition of who we should be costs us too much of who we actually are.
And perhaps freedom begins when we stop asking for permission to become ourselves.
đŞVenus brings us back to the heart.
To our relationships.
Our values.
Our self-worth.
The ways we give love and the ways we allow ourselves to receive it.
Sometimes the deepest healing happens when we begin to recognise where we have confused love with sacrifice, loyalty with self-abandonment, or forgiveness with the obligation to keep accepting what hurts us.
We can love someone and still recognise that a relationship needs to change.
We can forgive without returning to what we have outgrown.
And we can choose ourselves without making anyone else the villain in our story.
đŞMercury takes us beneath the surface.
Into the conversations we have avoided, the truths we have struggled to articulate and the thoughts we have been too afraid to examine honestly.
Sometimes the most important conversation we will ever have is the one we finally allow ourselves to have with ourselves.
Without excuses.
Without justification.
Without the need to make our truth more comfortable for someone else.
Just honesty.
đŞAnd then there is Pluto, which turned direct on 15 October.
In astrological symbolism, Pluto speaks to transformation, endings, power and rebirth.
It brings our attention to what can no longer remain as it was.
Not every ending is a failure.
Not every disruption is a punishment.
And not everything that unsettles us is something we need to fix or return to the way it was.
Sometimes something has to change because we have changed.
And then comes the FULL MOON IN TA**US today.
đTa**us seeks stability, security, comfort and peace.
But with the Sun in Scorpio opposite the Moon, and Pluto adding his own layer, this Full Moon carries a deeper invitation than simply finding comfort in what is familiar.
It asks us to look at what our comfort is built upon.
Is it genuine peace, or merely the absence of confrontation?
Is it stability, or are we holding on to something because the uncertainty of change feels frightening?
Are we nurturing something that allows us to grow, or protecting something that has already served its purpose?
Because there is a difference between feeling comfortable and being at peace.
Sometimes we become so accustomed to a particular way of living, relating and responding that we mistake familiarity for alignment.
We know how to navigate the discomfort because we have lived with it for so long.
But what happens when we begin to recognise that we no longer want to?
What happens when the person we are becoming can no longer make peace with the things the person we were once tolerated?
Perhaps that is where the real work begins.
Not in blaming the past.
Not in fighting every person who has played a part in our story. Who has contributed to our growth.
Not in endlessly searching for answers outside ourselves.
But in becoming willing to see what is ours to heal, what is ours to change, and what is no longer ours to carry.
I believe there comes a point in our evolution when awareness is no longer enough.
We can understand our childhood wounds.
We can identify our conditioning.
We can recognise our patterns and explain exactly where they began.
But understanding a pattern and CHOOSING differently are two very different things.
And this is where our power lies.
In the moment we recognise that although we may not have chosen every experience that shaped us, we can begin choosing how we live from here.
We can stop repeating what we have finally understood.
We can stop abandoning ourselves to preserve a version of peace that was never really peaceful.
We can stop waiting for other people to change before allowing ourselves to move forward.
And we can begin creating a life that reflects who we are becoming, rather than who we had to be.
Perhaps this is what these planetary cycles invite us to consider.
An opportunity to pause, reflect and pay attention to what life is bringing into our awareness.
Because the planets do not have to dictate our choices for astrology to offer us a meaningful mirror.
Sometimes the symbolism simply gives language to something we have already begun to feel.
And perhaps this season is asking us a question we can no longer avoid:
WHAT ARE YOU HOLDING ON TO THAT THE PERSON YOU ATE BECOMING IS READY TO RELEASE?
Not everything that comes to the surface needs to be fought.
đŞ˝Some things need to be understood.
đŞ˝Some things need to be grieved.
đŞ˝Some things need to be forgiven.
đŞ˝Some things need boundaries.
đŞ˝And some things simply need us to stop giving them the power to determine what happens next.
We are not here to spend our lives endlessly revisiting the past. We are here to learn from it, reclaim the parts of ourselves we left behind, and consciously choose what comes next.
Awareness creates choice.
Choice creates movement.
Movement creates transformation.
And perhaps the greatest awakening is not discovering something new about ourselves.
Perhaps it is finally having the courage to live in alignment with what we have known, deep down, for a very long time.
The remembering continuesâŚ
One heart at a time.
