No-Name Initiative

Directions Website

No-Name Initiative The No-name Initiative is a non-profit movement that initiates and facilitates dialogue towards creating active citizenship and a healthy global community.

In essence the NNI aims to:
provide an opportunity for citizens to express their current lived experience as citizens, and the underlying emotional field
support marginalised voices to come out and be heard
facilitate a proven transformational group dialogue; and
engender individual and collective ownership by co-creating personal and community actions and accountability structures

A snap shot of the NNI process
1. Dreaming

Visioning and dreaming into possibility

Creating both individual and shared visions

Speaking out and enforcing vision

On the flip side of this, this process usually also brings up the inner and cultural saboteurs and “problems”.
2. Group (dialogue) process

Transformational group dialogue using principles of deep democracy, Worldwork and coaching.
3. Connection

Building connection; crossing divides; being in relationship
4. Personal action and accountability

Bringing it back to the individual/internal and making it real: Everyone has a chance to go back inside and explore what has shifted / what is new / what is different / what is possible / because of this experience they just had. From there they start brainstorming specific actions:

what is it that they will do / do differently
by when
and how will their accountability partner/s know

5. Sharing and community

This is a space for voicing commitments, witnessing, togetherness, celebration, building structures, asking for help, group accountabilities, creating accountability-partners, completing. The NNI group process facilitates dialogue, understanding and change. This process supports the belief that once we feel heard and understood as human beings, it then becomes easier to let go of what has been holding us back and invite change and transformation. From the new emotional field, change and practical solutions becomes easier.

HR professionals, with increasing levels of disengagement, are you struggling to build collaborative workplaces? It is with great excitement that we launch our new One-Day nni Training: Listening to hear - moving diverse voices to a shared vision.

This immersive one-day experience offers an introduction to the nni Systemic Dialogue Methodology for anyone interested in applying systemic dialogue and facilitation techniques but unable to commit to a longer training programme at this time.

Why do you need this? In an increasingly polarised world, people are talking more and listening less. The ability to hear, understand, empathise and engage meaningfully across differences is rapidly diminishing.

The nniOneDay workshop introduces a practical and powerful approach to facilitating dialogue that helps diverse voices be heard safely, understood deeply and aligned around shared purpose and collective accountability.

Whether you work with teams, communities, organisations or partnerships, this training will equip you with tools to navigate complexity and build meaningful connection.

Only 31% of U.S. employees and 20% of workers worldwide are engaged at work and disengagement now costs the global economy roughly $10 trillion a year. (Gallup)

Active disengagement—where employees are not just unhappy but act out their discontent and actively undermine their workplaces—has risen steadily since 2020, sitting at roughly 17% to 18% in the U.S.

Active disengagement behaviour is when an unhappy employee acts out their frustration, spreads negativity, and undermines their team's work, rather than just staying quiet or unmotivated.

The major contributors to this trend seem to be:

· Unclear Expectations: Confusion around daily roles and shifting responsibilities.

· Manager Burnout: Because managers account for a massive share of team engagement variance, unengaged or overwhelmed managers create a "downstream" ripple effect of burnout across their teams.

· Technological Disruption: Rapid adoption of AI and new digital tools without adequate human support or training.

Corrective action is not easy or simple. We invite you to learn new skills that will help meet new challenges in the workplace by signing up for our new nniOne day training.

With a mere 20% of the global workforce engaged at work, and with the estimated cost of this disengagement being roughly $10 trillion a year, it is not surprising this is considered a crisis. For those in management and leadership positions and particularly trainers and coaches there is a real need to understand this trend and to find meaningful solutions.

Although at nni we don’t believe at equating human contribution to economic turn-over, it is however a voice to take note of. People are disengaged. Disengagement today is not necessarily characterised by loud complaints; rather, people check out mentally, stop offering suggestions and possible improvements, or passively agree with decisions without truly caring about the outcome.

This ‘silence’ of disengagement, is paradoxically a load systemic voice. Simply ignoring it and ‘driving harder’ or ‘pushing through’ causes more harm, greater disengagement, and a toxic work environment for all. Instead, learn how to effectively work with this ‘silence’ and bring back purpose, alignment, and engagement to your team, organisation, community, or family.

Come and join us for a 1 day immersive experience that offers an introduction to the nni Systemic Dialogue Methodology for anyone interested in applying systemic dialogue and facilitation techniques but unable to commit to a longer training programme at this time.
