In aesthetics, there are three main ways we can encourage the skin’s natural collagen production:

Introducing Perach and getting some insight into what drives her passion.

What made you start an aesthetics business?

“I was studying somatology with the intention of starting my own business, and during that time I went for a laser hair removal treatment. It worked so well and changed my life so positively that, by my follow-up treatment, I was already enquiring about purchasing a machine.

I bought an IPL machine, which also specialised in skin treatments, and I’ve grown with the industry as it has evolved. I think the results-driven nature of aesthetics makes it very exciting, as you can clearly track progress in someone’s skin and hair reduction after every session.”

Which treatments would you say are your favourite?

“Oooh, that’s a good one! I love new things and working with high-quality equipment. I think anyone who knows me knows that I’m always bringing new things into the clinic, and I get very excited about introducing new treatments and technology.

I’d say my main focus is light-based treatments, as I find the theory behind them fascinating. It’s an area that’s constantly evolving, and our protocols and depth of knowledge have developed so much over the last 14 years that I’ve been working with these devices. The results you can achieve are truly amazing.”

What are your future dreams and aspirations?

“I’m always on the lookout for new treatments. I’d like to add to our laser fleet with a vascular laser and a MOXI!”

Any personal hobbies you’d like to share besides your work at Silk?

“I love early nights, reading books, fitness, yoga, and horse riding on the beach with my daughter. I also love studying, developing, and deepening my knowledge.”

There’s a lot more happening than simply placing a handpiece on the skin and delivering light.

A great BBL treatment starts with understanding the science behind light-based technology — how different wavelengths interact with pigment, redness and the skin itself.
