We often get faced with the age old question, "What do Biokineticists do?"
Biokinetics is built around three main pillars: Rehabilitation & Prehabilitation, Wellness, and Performance. Each pillar uses evidence-based exercise therapy to improve movement, function, health, and quality of life across a wide range of population,
1. REHABILITATION & PREHABILITATION 🏋️♂️
Biokinetics is more than recovery: it’s restoring confidence in MOVEMENT, as MOVEMENT IS FREEDOM. From orthopedic injuries and chronic pain management to post-surgical rehabilitation, exercise is used as medicine to rebuild strength, stability, and function. Prehab also plays a vital role in reducing injury risk before problems arise.
2. WELLNESS 🌿
Movement has the power to improve quality of life at every stage. Biokinetics assists in the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, supports adaptive training for neurological and movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke rehabilitation, and Cerebral Palsy, while also helping individuals stay stronger, healthier, and more independent as they age.
3. PERFORMANCE ⚡
Performance is about training smarter, not just harder. Biokinetics focuses on improving joint stability, managing training load, and building sport-specific conditioning to optimise performance while reducing the risk of overuse injuries.
