If you can't remember who suggested half of what's on the shelf, you're in very good company. Here's a simple table for it: What you take, why, since when and who suggested it.
Screenshot and fill it in when you have a few minutes. Bring it with to your next appointment with your healthcare professional.
There's no advice with this post and nothing has to change. Just a list.

Somewhere on your phone is a screenshot of your blood results. You were meant to look them up but it's been busy. Here are four of the most common tests and what each one is for. What a results means depends on you and your history.
Save this for the next time results land in your inbox. If they are already in your screenshots, bring them along so we can go through them properly.

Exam week, and she's curled around a hot water bottle again.
"It's just her age" gets said a lot. How much gets it gets in the way of school is still a fair thing to ask about.
A 2019 international study covering more than 21 000 young women found that one in five had missed school or university because of period pain.
If you are a mom wondering whether to ask, the question to take to your healthcare practitioner is simple: is this normal or worth investigating further?

Waiting to see what happens with a sick child is hard, even when it is the right plan. It gets a little easier when you know what you're waiting for.
These are four questions to take with your to the doctor the next time your little one is unwell: what am I watching for, how long until we check back, what changes the plan and who to call if things go south.
If you didn't ask all of them the last time, it's okay. You were busy looking after your child. Save this for the next appointment or send it to the mom who needs it this week.

A first appointment is 90 minutes. Here's what we do with them:
We start with your history. All of it, not only the reason you booked. We go through your results, including the ones sitting in your screenshots folder. We look at what you already take, and why.
It ends one of two ways: a plan, or further tests first.
Bring any results you have, a list of what you take and your questions. Write the questions down because sometimes they vanish between the car and the door.
I work alongside your healthcare team, forming part of a panel who is there to support you in the best possible way.
Book via link in bio or send this to a friend who keeps asking what a first appointment is like

"Just use moisturiser" If I had a rand for every parent who told me that's what they were advised, I'd have a very full jar. Eczema is not just dry skin. It is a systemic inflammatory condition that roots in the gut, the immune system and the skin barrier. Moisturiser can provide temporary comfort. It doesn't address why the skin is reacting in the first place If your child's eczema keeps coming back despite everything you've tried, it may be time to look deeper. Link in bio

Last week I shared why your child's eczema is a gut problem. This week I give you the protocol we actually use. Three layers. Root cause first. Step 1 is a gut protocol, Step 2 is Root Cause Homeopathy which is a constitutional remedy matched your child's full picture. Step 3 is skin barrier repair. This protocol takes 3- 6 months for lasting change. It's not a quick fix, it's a root cause approach. Link in bio.

Your child's eczema is not just a skin problem, and I know that's not what you've been told. Most parents leave the doctor's room with a steroid cream, moisturiser and a list of triggers to avoid. In my practice we look at the child with recurring eczema and there is almost always a gut story underneath. A disrupted microbiome. A compromised gut lining. Systemic inflammation expressing itself through the skin. The gut and skin are in constant communication and when we address the gut, the skin often follows. Next week I'm sharing the full protocol I use, from gut support to skin barrier repair. Follow along for more. drfaseeha.co.za
