Less 'let me know'. More 'I'm on my way'.
When someone you love is going through breast cancer, an open-ended offer puts the work back on them. A specific one takes it away.
So be specific.
'I'm fetching the kids on Tuesday.'
'I'm collecting your script.'
'I'm bringing supper on Thursday.'
You don't need the perfect words. You need to show up, and keep showing up after the first few weeks, when everyone else has gone quiet.
To everyone in the thick of it, and everyone standing next to them: we're in your corner. ๐งก
