Drawing on her doctoral research into the ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž๐ฑ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐†๐ซ๐š๐š๐Ÿ๐Ÿ-๐‘๐ž๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ญ, Dr Kayster will consider the stories that were celebrated, those that remained largely outside the commemorative narrative, and the ways in which ideas about history and identity helped shape Graaff-Reinetโ€™s emerging reputation as a ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ ๐ž ๐ญ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง.
