She came to rebuild her strength. She left ready to teach again.
For Mrs Kingwill, recovery was about getting back to the life and work she loves.
After a prolonged hospital stay at Life St. George’s Hospital in Port Elizabeth, she was transferred to Nurture Mossel Bay to continue her recovery closer to her relatives. She arrived feeling weak and wanting to become more independent again.
Over the next two weeks, Mrs Kingwill worked with determination through her physical rehabilitation journey. Her goal was clear: to regain her strength and return home to Graaf-Reinett, where she could continue teaching at the school she loves.
Now, Mrs Kingwill is feeling motivated, well and ready for her next step. Following an Occupational Therapy driving safety assessment, she is preparing to drive herself home over the weekend. Even more special, she is expected to return to work within a week.
Mrs Kingwill is happy to know that she is still capable, still able and still ready to make a difference as a teacher.
Today, we celebrate her strength, her confidence and her journey back to independence.
