✨ WHY DOES YOUR TATTOO IMMEDIATELY TURN WHITE DURING LASER REMOVAL? ✨
Don’t panic — this is completely normal! 🤍
When the laser energy hits the tattoo pigment, it creates a rapid reaction called “frosting.” Tiny gas bubbles form within the skin around the pigment, causing the tattoo to temporarily appear white, grey or frosted.
❄️ This is actually a good sign! It means the laser has interacted with the tattoo pigment.
The frosting usually fades within minutes to hours, and the skin may then become red, swollen or tender. Blistering and scabbing can also occur as the skin heals.
