PERONEAL NERVE PALSY: WHY IS MY FOOT DRAGGING?
Foot drop may be more than a walking problem.
Have you noticed that the front of your foot is difficult to lift when taking a step? This may be a condition known as foot drop, which can occur when the peroneal nerve is damaged.
You may find yourself lifting your knee higher than usual to prevent your toes from catching the ground. Walking may become tiring, uncomfortable, or less stable.
Foot drop can have several causes, so proper assessment is important.
Is your foot dragging? Don't ignore it. Seek prompt medical assessment to identify the cause.
