Behind every script is a person with questions, concerns, and a life happening around it.

Pharmacists don't just dispense medicine, they help people understand it, navigate it, and feel a little less uncertain.

Today we celebrate our pharmacists who show up for their communities every single day. Thank you for being part of people's health journeys. 💚

Here are some skincare tips for spending time in and around the swimming pool:

𝟭. 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻: Use a broad-spectrum, waterproof sunscreen with at least SPF 30. Reapply every two hours and after swimming to protect against harmful UV rays.

𝟮. 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴: Showering before swimming reduces chlorine absorption, and rinsing off afterward helps wash away pool chemicals that can irritate the skin.

𝟯. 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴: Pool chemicals like chlorine can dry out your skin, so apply a hydrating moisturizer right after swimming to restore moisture.

𝟰. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from the inside, especially if you’re spending long hours in the sun and pool.

𝟱. 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗻: Wear a swim cap or a wide-brimmed hat, and consider using a leave-in conditioner or hair oil to shield your hair from chlorine.

𝟲. 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: After swimming, your skin may be more sensitive due to the chlorine. Avoid scrubbing or using harsh exfoliants; instead, opt for gentle cleansing.

𝟳. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗮 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗖 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘂𝗺: Vitamin C can help neutralize the effects of chlorine and pool chemicals on your skin, brightening and protecting it from oxidative damage.

These tips will help maintain healthy, glowing skin while enjoying pool time!
