🌍 WORLD FOOD DAY 2026

A healthy food system should do more than put food on the table, it should help put nutritious, safe and affordable food within everyone’s reach.

As we reflect on food and nutrition this World Food Day, we’re reminded that what we eat is connected to much more: how food is produced, accessed, priced, marketed and shared.

Building better food environments means building food systems that support people, health and the future of our planet.

NATIONAL NUTRITION WEEK 2026

Healthy eating isn’t only about what’s on our plate, it’s also about what shapes the choices that get us there.

This National Nutrition Week, we’re looking beyond individual choices to the food environments around us. From affordability and accessibility to education, policy and availability, the environments we create can make nutritious choices either easier or harder.

Creating healthier food environments means creating better opportunities for better nutrition. 🥗

🌿 HERITAGE & OUR FOOD STORIES 🍲

This Heritage Month, FERC is celebrating more than the food on our plates, we’re celebrating the knowledge, memories, traditions and identities woven into every meal.

Our food heritage is carried through generations, in the ingredients we grow, the dishes we prepare, the stories shared around the table, and the indigenous knowledge passed down from one generation to the next.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be hearing from different voices as they share their personal experiences and perspectives on indigenous knowledge, food and identity, generational knowledge, research and heritage, and the future of our food heritage. 🌍

Because when we preserve our food heritage, we preserve the stories of who we are.

Join us as we learn and celebrate . 🌿
