EVERY ARTWORK HAS A STORY. EVERY ARTIST DESERVES AN AUDIENCE.

Being an artist is about more than creating the work. It is also about finding the people who will connect with it, building visibility, presenting yourself professionally and identifying opportunities that can help you move forward.

But how do you market your art more effectively? Where do you find meaningful opportunities? And what could the year ahead hold for your artistic journey?

These are some of the conversations we want to have around the table at the upcoming Marmi Art Conference.

This is an opportunity for artists to come together, exchange ideas, discuss practical approaches to art marketing and hear about the projects Marmi Art is planning for 2027.

Whether you are working to build your audience, increase your visibility or explore new opportunities, we invite you to join the discussion.

Marmi Art Conference

📅 Saturday, 24 October 2026

📍 The Gallery at Strandkombuis, 16 Mile Beach, Yzerfontein

Art with a conscience...

OUR COASTLINE. OUR COMMUNITY. OUR SHARED RESPONSIBILITY.

The West Coast is more than a beautiful coastline. It is home to our families, our local businesses, our fishing communities and the people who make this part of South Africa so special.

From the wildlife along our coastal roads to the powerful Atlantic Ocean, we are reminded daily of the beauty we share — and the respect the ocean demands.

When someone gets into difficulty at sea, trained rescue teams must be ready to respond. Supporting those who protect our coastline is something our community can stand behind.

On Saturday, 24 October 2026, Marmi Art brings South African art, community and charitable giving together at the West Coast Art Competition 2026 Prize-Giving, Art Exhibition and Charity Art Auction in aid of NSRI Station 34, Yzerfontein.

A selection of artworks by South African artists will be auctioned in support of NSRI Station 34.

Join us for an afternoon celebrating local art, recognising artistic achievement and supporting the people who help keep our coastline safer.

Art With a Conscious

Some places let you see the West Coast. Others take you beyond the shoreline. 🌊

We are delighted to recognise Cape Coast Expeditions as a sponsor of the West Coast Art Competition Prize-Giving, Exhibition & NSRI Station 34 Charity Art Auction.

From the penguins and seabirds that inhabit our coastline to the surrounding marine environment, the West Coast offers extraordinary encounters with nature. Cape Coast Expeditions invites people to experience this coastal world from a different perspective — discovering the wildlife, scenery and ocean landscapes that make this region so special.

It is this connection to our natural surroundings that makes their support particularly meaningful to an art competition celebrating creative talent and the beauty of our region.

Our charity auction will raise funds in aid of NSRI Station 34, supporting the people who dedicate themselves to safety at sea.

Thank you, Cape Coast Expeditions, for supporting the arts and helping us bring our creative community together.

Art with a conscience...

A great art event is about more than the artworks on the wall. It is about creativity, craftsmanship and the local businesses that help bring artists and art lovers together.

We are proud to acknowledge Mustard Seed Cafe in Koffiefontein as a sponsor of the West Coast Art Competition 2026.

With its distinctive blend of café culture and clay, Mustard Seed Cafe celebrates creativity in a tangible way — from handmade ceramic pieces to a welcoming space where people can gather, create and connect.

Their support helps us celebrate South African artists, bring the art community together and support a meaningful cause through our charity auction in aid of NSRI Station 34.

Please support the businesses that support the arts. If you are in Koffiefontein, visit Mustard Seed Cafe and discover their creative offering.
