JOB OPPORTUNITY – ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT INTERN
Sonergy Diagnostics Limited is seeking applications from suitably qualified and interested professionals for the position of Assistant Accountant Intern, based in Lusaka.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Preparation and maintenance of financial source documents and proper filing systems
• Maintaining payment vouchers and supporting financial documents
• Maintaining the Fixed Assets Register
• Preparing Purchase Orders, Goods Received Vouchers and other source documents
• Stock management, physical stock checks and reconciliations
• Data entry and posting of Journal Vouchers to the General Ledger
• Uploading approved transactions into the SAGE Accounting System
• Managing petty cash and performing cash/petty cash reconciliations
• Assisting with financial information, ledger analysis and preparation of financial statements

🎯 Key Skills & Competencies
• Financial records reconciliation
• Filing and records management
• Basic understanding of taxation
• Fixed assets and stock management
• Teamwork and customer relations
• Integrity, excellence and dedication to duty
• Good decision-making skills

📌 Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 O-Levels, including English and Mathematics
• CA Zambia / ACCA / CIMA Level 2 or Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
• MUST be a registered member of ZICA
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting environment

🌍 World Hepatitis Day

Today, the 28th of July, Sonergy Diagnostics Limited commemorates World Hepatitis Day. Viral hepatitis remains a major global public health concern. The five types of Hepatitis include; Hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E that differ in how they spread and how they are managed. While Hepatitis A is usually self-limiting, Hepatitis B and C can lead to chronic liver disease, cirrhosis, and liver cancer if left untreated.
The good news is that Hepatitis A and B are preventable through vaccination, and Hepatitis C is curable with effective antiviral treatment, although there is currently no vaccine for it.
This World Hepatitis Day, Sonergy Diagnostics Limited encourages everyone to know their status through early screening. Early detection, timely treatment, and preventive measures can save lives and protect liver health.

CALEB ESNART MUNZELE PHASE 1 COMMISSIONING AND PHASE 2 GROUNDBREAKING

Sonergy Diagnostics Limited was honoured to be part of the official commissioning of Phase 1 of the Caleb Esnart Munzele Level 1 Hospital Outpatient Department and the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase 2 in Munga Ward, Bwacha Constituency of Kabwe District.
This milestone was made possible through the collective efforts of the Munzele family, Bayer, Project concern Zambia , German Embassy Lusaka , UNFPA , Ministry of Health Zambia , Sonergy Diagnostics Limited , FNB Zambia , The Munga community , and other valued partners.
As part of our commitment to sustainable healthcare solutions, Sonergy Diagnostics is proud to support the hospital with a functional haematology analyzer alongside comprehensive holistic training for laboratory staff.
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Sonergy Diagnostics Limited also donated additional supplies to the hospital to support the delivery of quality healthcare services.
Our commitment goes beyond installation. We are focused on helping the hospital maintain reliable laboratory services and deliver consistent, quality healthcare to the community. At Sonergy Diagnostics Limited, we don't just distribute medical equipment we ensure it reaches the places where it saves lives.

On July 3rd, 2026, we took that mission a step further. After conducting facility assessments within our catchment, we identified a critical gap at Bauleni Mini Hospital in Lusaka. Though newly built, the hospital faces significant laboratory challenges including an inability to perform on-site hematology tests. Staff are forced to collect and transport samples all the way to the University Teaching Hospital, causing delays for patients.

Against all odds, this facility diligently serves patients daily, alleviating health challenges for the entire Bauleni community. We knew we had to act.

Items donated, included; A Portable Bipap Ventilator, an Autoclave, a Water bath, Pipettes, Examination Lights, Weight Scales, Ambu Bags (Adult & Pediatric) and essential cleaning materials.

But this wasn't just about the items. It was about helping restore dignity and efficiency in our own small way to healthcare workers who do more with less every single day.

To the dedicated staff at Bauleni Mini Hospital: Thank you for your unwavering commitment to the Bauleni community. We are proud to support you.
