Dehydration Awareness 💧
Hot weather, busy schedules, long days at work or school… it’s easy to forget water. But dehydration affects more than just your thirst.
Signs your body might be dehydrated:
1. Mild: Dry mouth, headache, tiredness, dark yellow urine, feeling dizzy when you stand
2. Severe: Very little/no urination, rapid heartbeat, sunken eyes, confusion, fainting
Who’s most at risk? Kids, elderly, pregnant women, athletes, and anyone with vomiting/diarrhea or working outdoors.
3 Tips to stay hydrated:
1. Don’t wait for thirst- Thirst means you’re already behind. Sip water through the day.
2. Watch your urine- Pale yellow = good. Dark yellow = drink up.
3. Replenish electrolytes - If you’ve been sweating a lot or sick, plain water + ORS or fluids with salts help more than water alone.
When to see a doctor:If you have severe vomiting/diarrhea, can’t keep fluids down, feel confused, or stop urinating for 8+ hours. Early treatment prevents complications.
At Fine Health Diagnostic and Medical Center we offer hydration assessment, lab tests for electrolyte balance, and treatment plans tailored to you.
💧 Your health starts with a glass of water. Stay safe, stay hydrated.
