On 20 October 2026, over 180 students from FIRST CHOICE GROUP OF SCHOOLS visited the China–Zimbabwe TCM Centre. They explored Chinese medicinal herbs, sampled dried tangerine peel and Artemisia annua, and experienced acupuncture firsthand.
The visit promoted cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zimbabwean traditional medicine.

Chinese medical team brings care to local primary school in Zimbabwe

Fresh from a free‑clinic event at Dingsen Steel Company, members of the 23rd China Medical Team to Zimbabwe paid a charity visit to Nyikavanhu Primary School the following day, together with the management of Dingsen Steel in Midlands Province, Zimbabwe.

As both clinicians and medical educators, the team brought donations including rice, cooking oil, sweets, pencils and storybooks for the pupils. The doctors chatted warmly with teachers and children, encouraging the young students to study hard and pursue their dreams.

Through this heartfelt public‑welfare activity, the Chinese medical workers delivered friendship and kindness from China to rural Zimbabwe, further strengthening people‑to‑people bonds between the two countries and fulfilling their mission of foreign medical assistance.

Free medical camp warms workers, overseas patient sends banner from China

The 23rd China Medical Team to Zimbabwe held a free‑of‑charge medical outreach at Dingsen Steel Company in Midlands Province on September 10.

The multi‑disciplinary team delivered integrated Chinese and Western medical services. Specialists offered acupuncture, chronic disease management, surgical, gynecological and radiological consultations for factory employees.

During the event, the team received a banner mailed all the way from China. A Chinese worker who suffered a cerebral infarction in Zimbabwe had obtained timely clinical guidance from the medical team, before returning home for full rehabilitation. He sent the banner to express sincere gratitude to Dr. Hou Can and all team members.

The medical staff, who work both as doctors and medical educators, dedicated the special Teachers’ Day to grassroots public health services, cementing the friendship between China and Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Commemorates the 24th African Traditional Medicine Day

On 31 August 2026, members of the 23rd Chinese Medical Team in Zimbabwe participated in the 24th African Traditional Medicine Day commemoration in Marondera, joining local healthcare professionals and traditional medicine practitioners to promote exchanges and mutual learning between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zimbabwean traditional medicine.
