When did you last train your feet? 👣

Most of us strengthen everything except the part that carries us around all day. Here are three exercises worth adding to your routine:

💙Arch doming
💚Toe splaying
💙Banded toe flexion

They’re simple, need very little equipment and can be done at home. Go slowly, focus on control, and stop if anything feels sore. Over time, exercises like these can help support your arches and toes, which matters whether you walk, run or stand all day.

Save this for your next at home workout and tag someone whose feet need some attention.

Been putting up with foot or ankle pain for months? This could be your sign. 👀

Most foot and ankle problems start with conservative care like orthotics, footwear changes and rehab. But sometimes it’s worth a surgical opinion, and Dr Tristan Fairbairn walks through four signs to look out for.

The good news is that a consult isn’t a commitment. We’ll look at the whole picture together and work out the best next step for you.

Has your arch been slowly flattening over time? 🤔

In adults, a gradually flattening arch (often called acquired flat foot) can be linked to the tibialis posterior tendon, the one that helps support your arch every time you step. Here are three exercises we often use to help build strength around it:

💚Single leg calf raise with a theraband
💚Double leg heel raise with a ball
💚Resisted ankle inversion

Go slowly, keep the movements controlled, and stop if anything feels sore or makes the pain worse. These exercises can help support the arch, but the right program depends on what’s going on in your foot.

Noticed your arch dropping, or pain along the inside of your ankle? Get it checked early, because there are usually more options sooner. Book via the link in bio or call (03) 9111 3085.

How well do you know your surgical podiatrist? 🎤

Dr Tristan Fairbairn answers our rapid fire questions, quick, honest and a little bit fun. A good way to meet the person behind the care before you ever step into the clinic.

Is there something you've been wanting to ask him? Let us know in the comments.

Podiatry is so much more than nails and general foot care 🦶🏻

This Podiatry Week, here's something that surprises people: just like in medicine, there are specialised areas within the profession, and we have four right here at Camberwell Road.

Dermatological podiatry: Dr Joseph Frenkle, for complex skin and nail conditions that aren't simply tinea or athlete's foot.

Surgical podiatry: Genevieve Scott, for procedures such as nail surgery and wart surgery.

Podiatric surgery: Dr Tristan Fairbairn, for more complex presentations like bunions, hammer toes and tendon related conditions.

Endorsed podiatry: Mary Romanos and Natarsha Xureub, qualified to prescribe medications and provide injection therapies within their scope of practice.

Not sure who you need to see? Tell us what's going on and we'll match you with the right podiatrist. Book via the link in bio or call (03) 9989 5161.

Ever had an injury that keeps coming back? 🔁

It might not be bad luck. Small weaknesses are easy to miss by eye, and they add up. This Podiatry Week, meet VALD.

Our force plates measure how much force each leg produces as you squat, jump and balance. That gives us real numbers on your strength, balance and performance, so we can spot the weak spots that may lead to injury. Then we build your rehab plan around the results and retest to track your progress.

Swipe through to see how it works, then book via the link in bio.

Your walk tells a story, and we now have the technology to analyse it 👀

This Podiatry Week, meet the Zebris 3D treadmill gait analysis. You simply walk or run in your usual shoes while pressure sensors in the belt and synced video capture every step. We look at three things your eyes can’t see: where your weight loads through each foot, how your step length, timing and balance compare side to side, and how your feet, ankles, knees and hips work together as you move.

Then we use that data to guide your treatment, whether that’s orthotics, footwear or rehab, and to track your progress over time. No guesswork, just real information about how you move.

We’re really excited to offer this at Camberwell Road, and we love showing patients what their walk has been telling us all along.

Ready to see what your walk is saying? Book via the link in bio or call (03) 9069 4674.

Foot pain isn’t something you simply have to live with 🦶🏻

This Podiatry Week, we want you to know there’s more we can do than wait and hope. If rest, stretching and new shoes haven’t fixed it, there are advanced treatment options available, and they often work best together. Swipe through to see how we can help.

Every plan looks different because every foot is different. We start by finding out what’s actually causing your pain, then build the right mix of treatments around you.

Stop waiting and start a plan. Call (03) 9069 4674.
