✨ A little reintroduction… ✨

Hello beautiful people!

Life’s been a little chaotic these past couple of years. I mean, why not open a business AND find out you’re pregnant in the same fortnight?!

For those who don’t know me, I’m April Rose the face behind April Rose Aesthetics.

Mumma to two beautiful, wild and VERY busy boys (5 years and 14 months), stepmumma to two sweet, strong teenage boys, and partner in crime to one big entrepreneur boy who never stops!

My love affair with all things skin and faces started in my 20s as a beauty therapist, progressing into dermal therapy and laser. I fell in love with the science of skin, the art of aesthetics and that all important therapeutic touch.

Then came my nursing degree… university in my 30s certainly tested me! I went on to spend over five years nursing across Gold Coast and Robina hospitals before finding my way back to my first love skin, facial anatomy and helping people feel confident in themselves.

Now in my 40s (GASP! 🫣), I understand more than ever the importance of looking as good as you feel while still looking like you, natural beautiful results will always be my priority.

Beyond the treatments, it’s the people I meet, the relationships I build that make this career so special (and lots of laughs along the way). I genuinely LOVE what I do and feel incredibly lucky to have found something I’m so passionate about.

My boys are my world and I wouldn’t be here without my partner, my friends who are family, and every experience, good and bad, that’s pushed me to want more for myself.

So here’s to doing what you love, never stopping learning, and making people feel beautiful along the way.

So lucky to have attended another incredible Hugel Aesthetics Australia workshop with 3 rotating rooms filled with brilliant minds, fresh ideas and advanced techniques.

As per usual, Dr Jimmy Wang delivered plenty of those golden nuggets ✨while Alannah and Mel | Cosmetic Nurse Brisbane shared some exciting new treatment techniques that I can’t wait to bring back into clinic.

Deep diving into Rejuran today with the esteemed KELLY GEORGE ✨

Rejuran is a treatment I’ve known and loved for years, but with so much entering the skin space, it had become a little lost in my practice. Recently I’ve found myself reaching for it again and after seeing some exceptional results I wanted to dive even deeper into the science behind it 🧬

I’ve even been doing my own little in clinic comparisons, from stretch marks and scarring to rejuvenation of the neck and décolletage and I’ve been seriously impressed 🕺

But the standout area for me will always be the under eyes 👀The improvement in skin quality, brightness and rejuvenation is beautiful in an area that can be really hard to treat.

Rejuran is made up a little differently from the usual treatments I deliver as it is derived from highly purified salmon DNA polynucleotides (PN), Rejuran works with the skin’s natural repair and remodelling processes, supporting fibroblast activity and the extracellular matrix.

Think of it like encouraging tired skin cells to start behaving a little more like their younger selves. In your 20s, you wake up looking fresh, approaching 40? Sometimes those cells need a little encouragement 😂

Think improved hydration, elasticity, texture and fine lines, with results developing gradually as the skin remodels itself.

This year looked a little different in the way of a summit but was still just as exciting ✨ So much learning condensed into 24hours.

How lucky am i to be a part of this national training experience surrounded by the best in the business and my beautiful Sistas 💚

I had the absolute pleasure of attending an advanced cadaver dissection workshop at The University of Queensland taking my anatomical education and professional development to a whole new level.

This experience has been on my bucket list since I first entered the aesthetic profession, and I felt incredibly honoured to be selected by Hugel Australia to attend 🙏

Led by an anatomy expert, I gained a deeper understanding and precise visualisation of key anatomical landmarks exploring all layers of the face including muscle, fat, bone, and vascular structures, and how they relate to aesthetic medicine.

This type of learning is truly invaluable! It strengthens my clinical practice, enhances treatment planning, and plays a critical role in complication prevention, all of which directly translate into my everyday work.

I genuinely love what I do, and opportunities like this fuel my passion even more! I will continue to expand my knowledge allowing me to provide safe, evidence-based aesthetic treatments with confidence and care ❤️
