I am back in clinic tomorrow after an epic 3 weeks away in Canada. We covered 2000km driving through BC to Alberta, visiting Vancouver, Whistler, Jasper, Lake Louise, Golden, Banff and Calgary.
I have so many photos of mountains and wild life and the back of my family walking around mountains and lakes. It seems we are at the age of no photo's mum 🙄
I reccomend visiting Canada in Autumn 🍂 it was truly magnificent.

I am looking forward to seeing all your wonderful faces soon.

Exciting things are happening in June.
I am taking on my next block of intensive study to further help my clients with TMJ dysfunction.
Over the course of a month I will be learning a 90 min treatment protocol. I will be looking at causes and symptoms of TMJ dysfunction, learning how to assess TMJ dysfunction, releasing deep and superficial fascia of the head, neck and jaw with soft tissue techniques aswell as intra

I was recently talking with a friend about how I needed to start reading for pleasure again and with that information she reccomended some excellent light novels to read/listen to.
4 days later this turns up in the mail. I just can't help myself!
I am not sure where I am going to pack this information in. My brain as it is already jam packed.... anyway, you got this brain, we have got some more heavy reading a head of us 😆

Tuesday's tid bits.

School holidays are coming to a bitter-sweet end.
My household is going through some big transitions with the big kid off to highschool and the little kid starting grade 2. This will be the little kid's first year at school without his sibling. For me, this means only 5 more years of avoiding being asked to volunteer 😆
For some, these holidays have seemingly gone on forever, for me they have flown by.
This week I will welcome the quiet break from making endless snacks, playing cricket and breaking up fights to diving deep back into my study of fascia.
I have been slowly integrating this practice into my treatments and have been witnessing profound change in my clients.
Fascia work creates a spaciousness and ease within your body, ease you didn't realise you needed until it happened. I am moving away from the old ways of massaging with sheer brute force to slowing down, tuning into your nervous system and breath, allowing time for your nervous system to catch up and your bodies permission to start melting tissue and hydrating where your tissue has become stuck.
I am training my global eye to watch for subtle clues in your body.

I hope you are all enjoying this bi polar type summer, for those with kids enjoy the few days left of holidays and for those without kids only 2 days to go until you have public spaces back to yourselves during the week.
