☕✨ Partner Spotlight | Here4Hospitality ✨☕
"How can young people gain experience if every employer asks for experience?" 🤔

That challenge is exactly why Here4Hospitality, a social enterprise program run by Youth Projects, was created. 🌟

Led by Youth Coach Glen Fraser, the program provides young people aged 15-25 with the opportunity to gain real-world hospitality experience in a supportive and inclusive environment. Over a four-week program, participants receive hands-on training in a working café, building practical barista skills, customer service experience, communication techniques, and most importantly, confidence. ☕🙌

Unlike a short course, participants gain meaningful workplace experience by making coffees, serving customers, operating POS systems, and learning the day-to-day realities of hospitality. ✅

What truly stands out is the program's person-centred approach. With a strong focus on supporting neurodivergent young people and those facing barriers to employment, Here4Hospitality creates a safe space where mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process, confidence is nurtured, and every achievement is celebrated. 💙

At 4gr, we are incredibly grateful for employers and community partners like Glen and the team at Youth Projects who are opening doors, building confidence, and creating pathways for young people to thrive. 👏

⚡ A day of discovery at AusNet! ⚡
Our Work Simulation participants had the opportunity to visit AusNet alongside Employment Coach Sarah, Work Integrated Learning Officer Nicole, and Relationship Officer Alex.
With a tour led by Senior Electricity Distribution Network Controller Michael, participants learned about the provider's vital role, explored different career pathways, and gained a better understanding of the responsibilities involved in keeping communities connected. 🙌
Experiences like these help build confidence, expand career knowledge, and inspire future employment goals. Thank you, Michael and the AusNet team, for your support! 👏😊

It's about more than finding a job. It's about understanding each person's unique strengths, goals, challenges, and potential. 💚

Hearing positive feedback from families reminds us why personalised support matters and the incredible difference it can make in a participant's journey. 🌟

Congratulations to Alex on achieving his employment goal! 🎉

After finishing Year 12, Alex was determined to find work close to home. With the support of his Employment Mentor, Billi, and a lot of persistence, he successfully secured a casual role with Woolworths. 👏

In less than four weeks, Alex's dedication, strong work ethic and commitment were recognised, earning him a permanent part-time position! 🌟

Working in the Fruit & Veg department, Alex's role involves unloading deliveries, manual handling of fresh produce, assisting customers and keeping stock organised. Through his employment journey, he has developed valuable skills in prioritising tasks, organisation, responsibility and teamwork.
We're incredibly proud of everything Alex has achieved and can't wait to see what the future holds for him! 💚🍎🥦

✨ What a fantastic weekend at the Adelaide DAL Expo

Our South Australia State Manager, Carolyn, together with Employment Mentors Bili, Andrew, and Mia, had the pleasure of meeting so many individuals, families, carers, and service providers across the two-day event at the Wayville Showgrounds.

Throughout the expo, the team enjoyed having meaningful conversations about customised employment and sharing how 4gr supports people with disability to build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their employment goals through personalised employment supports.

One of the standout moments of the weekend was receiving a beautiful handmade card from a young visitor. It was a thoughtful gesture that truly made our day and reminds us why creating opportunities and supporting people into meaningful employment is so important. 🌟💙

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand, shared their stories, and took the time to learn more about our services. We loved making new connections and look forward to supporting more people on their employment journey.

😄 Ever been told to maintain eye contact in an interview and taken it a little too seriously?

Eye contact is a great way to show you're engaged and confident, but it doesn't mean staring the interviewer down! 👀

A good rule of thumb is to maintain eye contact while listening and speaking, then naturally glance away from time to time. The goal is to create a genuine connection, not win a staring competition. 🤝✨
