A beautiful garden is nice.

A resident who is excited to spend time in it every day is even better.

Since the recent refresh of our Woodbine supported independent living home by the team at ADCO Construction, staff have noticed a wonderful outcome. Korina, a long-time resident, has embraced the transformed outdoor space and is making it part of her daily routine.

Korina’s delight is a powerful reminder that when people invest in communities, the impact extends far beyond what anyone expected.

What a journey our 75th anniversary celebrations have been.

Across the country, we've gathered with old friends, familiar faces and new connections to celebrate a remarkable milestone. We've shared stories, memories and plenty of smiles as people who helped shape our organisation over the decades joined us to reflect on where we've come from and how far we've travelled together.

There has been something truly special about hearing first-hand accounts from those who were there in the early days, reconnecting with past colleagues and supporters, and seeing generations of our community come together in celebration.

We've loved every moment.

This Saturday we'll be in South Australia to mark the final event in our official 75th anniversary celebrations, and we're looking forward to creating even more memories with the people who have been part of our story.

It was wonderful to see so many people join us in Melbourne to celebrate our 75th anniversary at the weekend. While the weather saw us move indoors, the venue was soon filled with smiles, great conversations and a strong sense of community.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and a shoutout to our incredible team members who worked behind the scenes to quickly adapt and make sure the day ran smoothly.
For 75 years, we've been supporting people, building connections and creating opportunities in communities across Australia. This was a special day to reflect on that journey and celebrate the people who make it possible.

A huge thank you to the team from ADCO Construction for volunteering their time, skills and energy to refresh one of our supported independent living homes in Woodbine.
From painting and repairs to landscaping and accessibility improvements, the project has helped create an even more welcoming space for the people who call this house home.
Of course, the real impact reaches further than fresh paint and garden beds.
Partnerships like these create opportunities for people to connect, learn and build understanding. They help break down barriers, challenge assumptions and strengthen the ties between businesses, community organisations and people with disability.
The result? Better homes, stronger communities and meaningful experiences for everyone involved.
