We are looking for an empathetic, experienced and professional Support Worker to join our Gladstone Team. 😊

You will provide heartfelt care and support to our participants with complex and high support needs and play a pivotal role in assisting them to achieve their goals. 🤝

In addition to making a difference in the lives of people with a disability you will be a part of a values-aligned and high performing team. 🥰

To be successful in this role you will be passionate about:

💗 Providing individualised and flexible support to people of all abilities and backgrounds.

💗 Have significant experience working with people who have high support needs including people who have Positive Behaviour Support Plans, require manual handling, assisted transfers, communicate non-verbally, require personal care support, assistance with medication all aspects of daily life.

💗 You will have a love of learning and the ability to remain calm under pressure. We call this being “a professional with heart”.

Stef our Executive Lead for People and Compliance and Jodie our Compliance Officer for Quality, Safety and Assurance both wore their purple shirts to raise awareness and show support for the Rotary club's 'Say no to Domestic Violence' initiative.

Thanks to Jessie our amazing Support Specialist - Complex Needs in Lismore for becoming a proud member of the Ballina Rotary Club and getting us involved with this great cause! 🙌

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and this morning our Toowoomba Team held a Pink Ribbon Brekky to help raise awareness for this important cause! 🥰

(Massive shout out to our Receptionist Therese for cooking the amazing brekky burgers and hash browns! 👩‍🍳)

Breast cancer affects over 20,300 people in Australia each year, averaging about 56 diagnoses per day. It affects 1 in 7 Women and 1 in 600 Men. 💔

So, the chances are high that we all know someone who has had to fight this awful disease. Please head to https://fundraise.nbcf.org.au/event/pink-ribbon-breakfast/generic-donate and donate today if you can. 💌

The expo was hosted by the Rosella Park School and focused on connecting students with local service providers offering:
