Rebecca Fuller Self-Care Coach Rebecca is passionate about self-care for well-being and helps people with self-care topics like physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.

She defines self-care as "Anything that makes your heart sing, and causes no harm." Sign up & do quiz. Having been in the corporate world for 30 years, I know how stressful and exhausting it can be, especially when we don't take care of ourselves. This is why I am passionate about helping people find their genius when it comes to self-care, as well as examining belief systems that no longer serve and change them to beliefs that are better aligned to our desires. Let's face it, when we change what we believe, we change what we do, it's that simple. However as change is not easy for most of us, I am here to guide and support you through the process. I also love my husband and our fur babies. After travelling North America the last 15 years of the Corporate world I am loving working from home, gardening and being grounded. There truly is no place like home.

🌿 12 Weird Outdoor Tricks That Actually Work! 🏡✨

Your yard, garden, patio, and outdoor projects can become much easier with a few clever tricks! From keeping pests away to making gardening and outdoor cleanup less messy, these simple ideas are worth knowing. 👇

🐝 1. Paper Bag Fake Wasp Nest 🛍️
Hang a paper bag shaped like a wasp nest in an outdoor area. It may discourage some wasps from nesting nearby, although results can vary.

🐌 2. B**r Trap for Slugs 🍺
Place a shallow container of b**r near affected garden areas. Slugs are attracted to it and can fall into the trap.

🐜 3. Chalk Line for Ants 🖍️
Drawing a chalk line across an entry point may temporarily disrupt some ants, but it isn't a reliable long-term barrier.

🦌 4. Soap to Deter Deer 🧼
Strongly scented soap placed around garden areas may help discourage deer from browsing, though effectiveness varies.

🌿 5. Cinnamon Around Plants 🌱
Sprinkling cinnamon around problem areas may help deter some insects, but don't rely on it as a complete pest-control solution.

❄️ 6. Cooking Spray on a Snow Shovel 🥄
A light coating can help snow slide more easily from a shovel blade. Wipe the blade clean afterward and avoid slippery surfaces.

🐿️ 7. Petroleum Jelly on Bird-Feeder Poles 🐦
A slippery pole can make it harder for squirrels to climb toward a feeder. Reapply as needed and keep the feeder away from easy jumping points.

🔥 8. Shower Liner Under a Grill 🍖
Place a protective liner beneath your grill to catch grease and food drips. Make sure the material is suitable for the location and kept safely away from heat and flames.

🧹 9. Dustpan Under a Drill 🔨
Hold a dustpan beneath a drill bit while making holes in a wall to catch falling dust and debris. A vacuum attachment can work even better.

🪴 10. Vinegar on Patio Cushions 🧽
A properly diluted vinegar solution may help freshen some outdoor fabrics and reduce odors. Always check the manufacturer's care instructions first.

🌧️ 11. Colander Over Seedlings 🌱
A lightweight colander can act as a temporary cover for delicate seedlings, allowing rain and light through while providing some protection from birds.

🎨 12. Rubber Band Around a Paint Can 🖌️
Stretch a rubber band across the opening of a paint can and wipe your brush against it to reduce drips and keep paint out of the rim groove.

💡 Quick Tip: Outdoor tricks work best when they're used alongside good maintenance. Keep garden areas clean, remove standing water, protect plants appropriately, and choose pest-control methods that are safe for people, pets, and beneficial wildlife.

📌 Save this list for your next outdoor project! A few simple tricks can make gardening, grilling, cleaning, and yard work much easier. 🌿🏡✨
