A little life update and introduction to all the new faces, because apparently a LOT can happen in a year:
Little about me: I’ve been tattooing for about 4 years now, I’m self-taught, and my work has changed so much since I started, and lately I’ve been especially obsessed with microrealism, florals, and animals.
First off, Emma Klassen killed this branding photoshoot!
I live in Calgary with Justin, my partner of almost 8 years. This January we did the very adult thing and bought our first house. We’ve been slowly making it ours and it’s finally hitting me that it’s not just a curated Airbnb lol
Owning a house has made me completely plant obsessed. My house is slowly turning into a jungle and I’m not mad about it. If you ever want to bring me a little something instead of a tip, a plant will probably make my entire week.
I’ve been trying to spend more time making things with my hands and less time on my phone. Lately that’s meant lots of crocheting and cross stitching, and I’m actually starting to sell some of my cross stitch pieces soon!
I have 4 cats.. YES FOUR we got the most recent in May and it was hard not to take her home.
Over the last few years, I’ve put a lot of work into my mental health and learning more about myself. Medication has been a huge part of getting me back to feeling like myself, and this year I’ve also found myself leaning much more into my spiritual side. I’ve gotten back into all things witchy, energy, and the ways we can take care of ourselves beyond just the physical. I started taking Reiki in September, and I’ve been absolutely loving learning about it and how I can use it for myself and eventually for the people around me.
I’ve been on a major fantasy book kick. I love audiobooks because I can listen while I draw, walk, crochet, clean… basically anything. I finished Zodiac Academy back in April and have just continued down the fantasy rabbit hole ever since.
It’s been a really big year of change and growth, both personally and creatively, and I’m excited to see where the next one takes me.
Thanks for being here and getting to know a little more about the person behind the tattoos!
