My Nature Therapy Trip Yesterday

Share your Insights in Nature

🍂You were never broken.
You were braced.

My first nature therapy trip of the year. 🍂

Standing beneath this wide prairie sky, surrounded by autumn colour, I found myself reflecting on how much we can carry without noticing.

The effort of holding everything together.
The words we swallow.
The feelings we leave for another day.
The habit of preparing for what might happen next.

Sometimes, what we have called “just who I am” may be a way we learned to protect ourselves.

And softening isn’t something we need to force. We can begin by noticing where we feel supported, where there is room to pause, where we can be ourselves without performing.

On this trip, there was beauty to notice. Open space. A deer caught mid-leap. A moment with nowhere else I needed to be.

Nature asks so little of us.
We don’t have to earn our place beneath the sky.

Perhaps returning home begins here:
with a little less judgment,
a little more tenderness,
and permission to soften at our own pace.

Your body is your first home.
May you meet yourself there with kindness.

Where do you find a little room to exhale?

Reflecting back to being Under the full moon in Moose Jaw, I had another realization:

Blending in helped me survive, but it also taught me to disappear.
As, I became good at reading the room, adapting, and performing belonging instead of truly feeling it.

That night with my daughter, under the glow of the full moonI, didn’t have to perform or fit in.
I could simply be myself—and exhale.

Belonging isn’t always something we find. Sometimes, it’s something we create with people who allow us to feel safe, seen, and accepted as we are.

If you’re in survival mode and longing for genuine connection, you don’t have to do it alone.

I spent my birthday weekend at a mineral spa with my daughter Mandy

It was the first time in 17 years we’d been away together, just the two of us.
No children, no dogs, no one needing anything from us.

🌝Under the full moon, we had time to rest and reconnect. ❣️

In that quiet, I thought about how long I’ve felt I didn’t quite fit in.

I learned to blend in.
To read the room, be what was needed, and keep going.
For a long time, that was part of how I survived. But even when I seemed to belong, I didn’t always feel free to be myself.

I used to wonder what was wrong with me because groups and networking never felt as natural as they seemed to for other people.

Now I’m asking a different question: Where are the people I can exhale around?

The women who think deeply.
Who question things.
Who are growing without pretending to have it all figured out.
Who want more from life and want to arrive as themselves.

Maybe you’ve spent years blending in, too.
Maybe you’ve wondered where your people are.

This weekend reminded me how much it means to have space to simply be together. If you’ve ever felt a little outside the circle, I see you.

Perhaps you’re one of my people.
Let’s find each other here, just as we are.

I was guided to go to the Prairie Rock and Gem
Show today…I never ask why.

I get a nudge and I go… this deck called me.

So I pulled my first card…. With White sage smudge burning on a breathless afternoon.

Anyone interested in a little guidance?

📕A Life of Living- What Have You Been Turning Your Back to?

What if: Money is not the purpose of the journey.
It is a byproduct of being fully alive.

Creating. Loving. Feeling. Seeing beauty.
Following what asks to be remembered.
Living from the frequency of your true essence.

Not living to make money.

Allowing money to support a life devoted to living.

Your true frequency and essence is, leading the way✨when you go within
