You can’t see or smell radon, but it could be in your home. This November, be proactive: test for radon, open windows for airflow, and seal foundation cracks. Test kits are available at local hardware stores.

Make sure to store it safely and have conversations with youth.

Keep little smiles healthy and looking fa-BOO-lous this Halloween with a few simple tricks:
1. Enjoy treats with meals or in a single sitting, instead of grazing throughout the day

2. Remember: It's not just how much sugar we eat, but how often teeth are exposed to it that matters

3. Sticky candies can linger on teeth longer than chocolate, giving cavity-causing bacteria more time to work their spooky magic

4. Choose water as the go-to Halloween drink. Water helps wash away leftover sugar and keeps your mouth hydrated

5. Don't forget to brush for 2 minutes and floss before bed, even after a busy night of trick-or-treating

Keep the scares in the costumes, not in the dental chair. Wishing everyone a safe, fun, and cavity-free Halloween!
