I’ve noticed a revolving vortex within myself.

Every time I feel lacking in any of the areas of creativity, spirituality or creativity, one of those areas rises to the surface of my existence demanding my presence. I’ve always know this triumvirate to be one entity. The first I noticed it was when my daughter was born. The creativity of that monumental occurrence was a spiritual awakening, and filled every cell of my body.

Some women say that their sexual desire at that time is fulfilled not by their man but is transformed by what they feel for their child and what their body experienced during pregnancy and birth. A partner may feel rejected because the mother of their child has no need of anything but their child and the creative force of their body, resulting in a season of spiritual ecstasy.

S*x for me has been a portal to understanding a person’s soul, aura’s merging – that oneness is as prayer for me. All creative efforts bring me close to the divine. I feel the elation of whatever supports the universe.

And I wonder… how much more conscious this world could be if we could know that our sexuality was the same creative power that birthed the stars, if we could honor it and our bodies and our inspiration without shame or doubt… could we be more peaceful and harmonious within our own bodies and each other?

Dark Moon in Libra, October 10, 2026

Permission granted to rest. To receive. To let the tension in the belly to recede as you become present to this sacred pause.

Libra calls us to balance and harmony, but that isn't always a peaceful process. It often involves dropping masks, speaking to what's meaningful even if it shakes our world, finding courage to be authentic.

Dark Moon is where Crone and Maiden stand back to back. Where wisdom births new initiative.

Pause. What is it that you really need before you expand again with a new lunar cycle?

Reading books saved my life, literally and metaphorically.

Through books, I learned that other people around the world were living the challenges I was facing as a child. That made me feel less alone. I also learned that there was a possibility to have a different life, one of beauty and love and safety. That helped me to have hope for the future when as an adult I could organize my own existence. I was reading far above my age group once I learned to speak and read in English, so the books I accessed were not only written for children, but also for adults. They fueled my imagination which became the language of my soul – I could create worlds that served as surrogate places for my inner self to live until I had agency. I could cite hundreds of books that taught me about the world, humanity and courage to keep on.

One book that stands out for me is ‘The Yearling’. Through its pages I could clearly see myself; my love for everything in the natural world, the deep challenges of life and how trauma can affect the one person who should be our strongest ally – our mother. Although I couldn’t have articulated at the time how this book was pivotal to my evolving psyche and how it kept me earthside, I knew that books were my best mentors. Someone had taken the time to write a book, taken a chance on being published, had thrown their inner self onto blank pages, and touched my life with profound effect.

So write your book, it really is that important.

Transforming the Mother Wound, The Dark Pool Trilogy, Love.Lust. Lost. Tessa and the Faeries… plus close to 400 published articles, all came from reading something someone somewhere wrote, hoping somebody would one day read it.
