🎓 Applications are open for the Calm Air Carl Morberg Memorial Bursary Program!

Calm Air will award up to five bursaries of $5,000 to individuals pursuing post-secondary education in:

✈️ Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
✈️ Aircraft Structures Technology
✈️ Avionics Technology
✈️ Commercial Pilot Licensing

Eligible applicants must permanently reside in Nunavut, or reside in Manitoba and be of Indigenous or Inuit ancestry, or have held a permanent full-time position with Calm Air for at least one year before the application deadline. Inuit and Indigenous applicants will be given priority.

Applications must include a professional résumé and a 750-word essay outlining your aviation background, career goals, financial needs, training costs, and involvement in aviation activities or volunteer work.

📅 Application deadline: September 15
💰 Bursary amount: $5,000 each
🏫 Funds will be paid directly to the successful applicants’ post-secondary institutions.

Cette semaine, nous célébrons la Semaine des services médicaux d’urgence et rendons hommage aux ambulanciers paramédicaux, qui constituent souvent le premier point de service dans nos communautés. Leur travail sauve des vies, soutient les patients et leurs proches dans les moments difficiles, et contribue au renforcement du système de santé au quotidien.

Tout au long de la semaine, nous vous présenterons quelques-uns de nos clients du secteur des services médicaux d’urgence issus de toutes les régions du Canada.

Keewatin Air LP joue un rôle essentiel dans la prestation des services essentiels de santé et d’urgence dans les régions arctiques du Canada. Fondée en 1971 à Rankin Inlet, cette organisation, qui ne comptait à l’origine qu’un seul appareil, est aujourd’hui l’un des plus importants fournisseurs de services aéromédicaux et d’évacuation sanitaire au pays.

Offrant ses services 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7, Keewatin Air sert les communautés du Nunavut et du nord du Manitoba par l’entremise d’une équipe de plus de 300 employés. L’organisation exécute près de 4 000 missions d’évacuation sanitaires par année et transporte souvent des patients sur de longues distances afin qu’ils puissent bénéficier de soins urgents et spécialisés.
