Picture someone who works from 8am until 9pm, grabs whatever food is quickest (or sometimes doesn’t eat at all), constantly tries to fix every problem at work and genuinely believes she can fix everything.
No self-care. No boundaries. No balance. Her entire life revolves around work.
She loves her job, but she’s burnt out, exhausted and, although everything looks successful on paper, inside she’s struggling.
She doesn’t have the tools or skills to cope with the demands she’s putting on herself.
She’s so caught up in working and looking after everything and everyone else that she’s forgotten how to actually live.
That person was me… over 14 years ago, I was that woman.
I first started yoga for myself around 22 years ago (how on earth did that happen?!). My practice hasn’t always been consistent, and my relationship with yoga has changed and evolved over the years.
But one thing I’ve noticed? I’m always drawn back to yoga when life is about to hit the fan!
When things feel overwhelming. When I need to slow down. When I need to reconnect with myself.
And that’s why I love what I do now.
I’m not a Yoga Therapist because I’ve got life all figured out. I’m here because I know first-hand how much yoga can support us through life’s challenging moments.
Because you can have the career, the family, the busy diary and all the responsibilities, yet feel completely overwhelmed inside.
You can be holding everything together on the outside and falling apart on the inside.
You don’t have to wait until you’re burnt out or broken to look after yourself.
Yoga is so much more than an exercise class. It’s about reconnecting with yourself, learning to manage stress, finding space to breathe and remembering that YOU matter too.
You don’t need to be flexible or have it all together. You just need to start somewhere.
Life is happening right now. You deserve to live it, not just get through it.
And if I can help you feel more grounded, balanced and more like YOU again, I absolutely love that I get to do what I do.
Sometimes the person who teaches you to slow down is someone who had to learn that lesson the hard way.
With love,
Naomi ✨
