When we feel safe and held by someone, our nervous/limbic system picks up on theirs, and if they are calm, it can make ours calmer too - it's called limbic resonance.

This was during my free hugs movement where myself and others give out 100 free hugs each, one the same day to spread human kindness and connection though our communities.

I now have a space for 1-2-1 cuddle sessions in Central Milton Keynes 🥳

This beautiful room belongs to Anya @ ArtFormsTheMind - Anya's art therapy complements cuddle therapy really well too!

I love this venue, it's in a perfect location for all types of transport:

🚄 A short walk from Milton Keynes Central (direct trains to/from London Euston in 35mins)

🛍️A short walk from The Centre:MK shopping centre

🚌 Bus stops right outside (which run between train station and shopping centre)

🚲 Bicycle park outside

🚗 Car parking (pay & display) outside.

☕ There's also a brilliant cafe next door that uses locally roasted coffee.

I've already got clients booked for this new space and I'm excited to be finally offering my sessions in my hometown!

A huge thank you to all the huggers and their buddies for doing something wonderful for the community (and humankind!) And also to the team at What's on Bedford for their ongoing support for this event!

It always feels like such a privilege to be giving and receiving so much love at these events, I'm always blown away by how positively the community responds to them!

📍This Saturday, 26th September, you'll find us at our usual spot, the faces statue outside What's On Bedford.

🕚 From 10:30am until all 100 hugs have been given.

❓Why don't we do it? - because we see and feel the difference it makes to those who come for a hug, to those who just observe the hugs and of course to us too. It's always a positive boost for everyone and for the community.

Saturday 26th September - the day 100 people around the world each give 100 free hugs, all on the very same day. That's 10,000 hugs given out, everywhere, at once!!! 🤗🤗

I started Hug100 as a personal challenge, and every time it's grown into something bigger; this year, I'd love for it to grow further still.

Wherever you are in the world, you can be part of it. Gather a group, with a buddy or simply give hugs solo in your own community - it's up to you.
