Hewlett Court was opened in 1979 as Sheltered Accommodation and belongs to the East Lancashire Masonic Charity [ELMC].

Hewlett Court supports people towards independent living in a safe and caring environment in which catering is provided. Hewlett Court was opened in 1979 as a Masonic Retirement Home for the elderly. The home belongs to the East Lancashire Masonic Charity [ELMC] which has cared for Freemasons’ and their dependants for over a century. The home prides itself on its friendly family atmosphere and everyone is welcome. Hewlett Court is registered with the Local Authority as ‘Sheltered Housing’. It is not a Nursing or Convalescent Home and therefore the home is not permitted to provide nursing care to residents and short stay guests. Becoming a resident at Hewlett Court can be a difficult and momentous decision for both the potential resident and their family. The Management Team fully understands that decision and treats everyone as an individual to ensure that the right decision is made. Before permanent entry is approved applicants must reside in the Home for a trial period of two weeks and then return to their normal accommodation. This is to ensure that they really do want permanent residence, and for their suitability for communal life in the Home. The Home is close to the local amenities; shops, post office and Doctors Surgery. It affords accommodation for a maximum number of 41 people full-time, plus one additional person or couples as a guest[s] on a pre-booked "holiday" basis. Services Available:

💕🎀 Breast Cancer Now Fundraiser 🎀💕

We’re delighted to share that we have raised £58 for Breast Cancer Now today! Every penny counts for such a worthy cause, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. 🩷

Our lovely ladies, gents and staff all enjoyed taking part in our Guess the Weight of the Sweets competition and entering our pink raffle 🥰

🩷 To show our support for this important cause, our lovely ladies and staff wore pink, helping us spread awareness and show our support for everyone affected by breast cancer. 🎀💕

🍬 A big well done to Julie, who guessed 1,000g for the jar of sweets, which actually weighed 980g — an amazing guess! 👏

🎁 Congratulations to Edna, our lucky raffle winner, who won the lovely pink prize hamper! 💝

A huge thank you to everyone bought raffle tickets, entered the competition and supported our fundraiser. Your kindness and generosity mean so much and help support the important work of Breast Cancer Now. 💗

Together, we can make a difference. 🎀💕

✨🐟 A lovely trip to Blackpool Illuminations! 🌟🚌

Residents from Hewlett Court were delighted to be joined by members of the Bury Parkinson’s Group for a fantastic coach trip to Blackpool last night.
Our evening started with a delicious traditional fish and chip supper at Seniors Chippy in Cleveleys, Thornton. Everyone enjoyed fish and chips with mushy peas, a slice of bread and butter, and a lovely cup of tea. 🐟🍟☕ Just what we needed before our evening adventure!

After filling our tummies, we all climbed aboard the coach and headed off to enjoy the spectacular Blackpool Illuminations. ✨🌈 The lights were amazing, and it was wonderful to share such a lovely evening together, full of smiles, laughter and great company.
