This October, we swapped the talking stick for a talking hat!
We’ve used a sunflower, a giant pinecone, a crystal and a feather. The object changes, but what it symbolises stays the same.
Whoever is in possession the talking object has the space to speak without interruption. The rest of us listen, witness and perhaps recognise something of ourselves in the words spoken.
No advice. No fixing. Simply being heard.
Sharing is always a choice. Some months, a woman’s words flow freely, often revealing something she hadn’t realised was bubbling beneath the surface.

There is something profoundly freeing about holding the talking stick, (or October wearing the talking hat) knowing the space is yours. You can take your time. You don’t have to compete for attention, soften your words or hurry to finish.
To see the faces around you and feel their attention. To know your voice is being heard, that what you have to say matters, and that you are valued, respected and cherished.
If you’re longing for connection and a space to come as you are, you’re very welcome in our community. Come and si
