Hi, I’m Lynsey from Nibbled Apple and I offer Reiki and crystal healings.

Everything in this world is made of energy. Every day, we walk in and out of people’s energy fields. We absorb whatever others are putting out (that’s why we feel extremely drained after being with certain individuals).

On top of that, we can be holding on to things from our past. Letdowns, trauma, insecurities, untrue beliefs about ourselves - they all cause blockages in our energy system that can manifest as various physical and mental ailments.

Reiki and the healing vibrations of crystals can help to clear your energy channels and encourage your body’s natural healing response.

The main benefits people report after a treatment are:

- Better sleep
- Reduced stress and anxiety
- Heightened intuition
- Easing of pain
- Feeling more focussed

If you believe there is more to us than just our physical shell then I’d love to see you for an energy clearing session.

All treatments are 1-hour and cost £35.

“But who are you, Lynsey?” You might be asking.

I’m someone who was tired of living a repetitive, mundane life in the corporate rat race. I wanted to see my kids more and experience the magic the world had to offer.

So I started following my soul, left my job, retrained and now here I am...

I’m a Reiki crystal lover
I’m quite kooky, I’m a mother
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
Believe we should all stop being tame
I love spells
Log my dreams
Stare at the moon in between
Come and see me if you vibe the same way.

(And yes, you should definitely sing that to the tune of Meredith Brooks.)

Have a wonderful soul-led day! Look for the magic in the simple things.

If you have any questions, message me @nibbledapple

🆕 New Treatment 🆕

Crystal Reflexology

Crystal Reflexology is based on the same principles as standard reflexology, but with the addition of crystals to enhance the treatment considerably. Minimal pressure is applied as the crystals work over the reflexes, and therefore brings you a completely different reflexology experience.

My name is Nicki, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT)200 hour Seasonal Yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance. I'm passionate about Yoga and what it can do for your body and mind as well as your spirit.

Why Superstar Yoga I hear you ask? Yoga makes me feel like I can do anything, it makes me calm, eases the chatter in my mind, it moves my body and I feel open and relaxed. I want to share that feeling with you, to help you feel good, great even and be a superstar, because you are!

I teach seasonal yoga, a mix of flowing vinyasa/hatha moves and qi gong to help you be in tune with what’s going on in the environment. I also teach restorative and yin yoga too. All classes include breathing techniques (pranayama) to calm the central nervous system and meditation techniques to relax the mind. I’m also embarking on my next stage of training to bring you even more yoga knowledge. (FYI - Yoga teacher training is measured in hours, 200, 300).

Classes are on a Monday and Thursday evening and everyone is welcome, no matter your yoga ability. Classes are also taught online too and you can be part of our supportive and fun community.

You can find out more at www.superstaryoga.co.uk or you can email me with any questions at [email protected]

Massage: Get in touch with its many benefits

Massage can be a powerful tool to help you take charge of your health and well-being. See if it's right for you.

Massage used to be available only through luxury spas and upscale health clubs. Today, massage therapy is offered in businesses, clinics, hospitals and even airports. If you've never tried massage, learn about its possible health benefits and what to expect during a massage therapy session.

What is Massage?

Massage is a general term for pressing, rubbing and manipulating your skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Your muscles will be carefully released, and your nervous system calmed. Massage may range from light stroking to deep pressure. There are many different types of massage, including these common types:

· Swedish massage.
This is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping. It helps you feel relaxed and energized.
· Deep massage.
This massage technique uses slower, more-forceful strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. It's commonly used to help with muscle damage from injuries.
· Sports massage.
This is similar to Swedish massage, but it's geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries.
· Trigger point massage.
This massage focuses on areas of tight muscle fibres that can form in your muscles after injuries or overuse.

Benefits of Massage

It's increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a wide range of medical conditions and situations.

Massage benefits can include:

· Reducing stress and increasing relaxation
· Reducing pain and muscle soreness and tension
· Improving circulation and energy
· Lowering heart rate and blood pressure
· Improving immune function
· Improves sleep

Massage may also be helpful for:

· Anxiety
· Digestive disorders
· Fibromyalgia
· Headaches
· Insomnia related to stress
· Low back pain
· Myofascial pain syndrome
· Nerve pain
· Soft tissue strains or injuries
· Sports injuries
· Temporomandibular joint pain
· Upper back and neck pain

Beyond the benefits for specific conditions or diseases, some people enjoy massage because it often produces feelings of caring, comfort and connection. Book an appointment whenever you have some time to yourself to make the most of the feelings of deep-relaxation it promotes.

Despite its benefits, massage isn't meant as a replacement for regular medical care. Let your doctor know you're trying massage and be sure to follow any standard treatment plans you have.

Risks of Massage

Most people can benefit from massage. However, massage may not be appropriate if you have:

· Bleeding disorders or take blood-thinning medication
· Burns or healing wounds
· Deep vein thrombosis
· Infections
· Broken bones (fractures)
· Severe osteoporosis
· A very low platelet count (severe thrombocytopenia)

Discuss the pros and cons of massage with your doctor, especially if you are pregnant or if you have cancer or unexplained pain.

Some forms of massage can leave you feeling a bit sore the next day. But massage shouldn't ordinarily be painful or uncomfortable. If any part of your massage doesn't feel right or is painful, speak up right away. Most serious problems come from too much pressure during massage.

What You Can Expect During a Massage

You don't need any special preparation for massage. Before a massage therapy session starts, your massage therapist should ask you about any symptoms, your medical history and what you're hoping to get out of massage. Your massage therapist should explain the kind of massage and techniques he or she will use.

In a typical massage therapy session, you undress or wear loose-fitting clothing. Undress only to the point that you're comfortable. You generally lie on a table and cover yourself with a sheet or towel. Your massage therapist will leave the room when you undress before the massage and when you dress after it. You can also have a massage while sitting in a chair, fully clothed. Your massage therapist should perform an evaluation through touch to locate painful or tense areas and to determine how much pressure to apply.

Depending on preference, your massage therapist may use oil or lotion to reduce friction on your skin. Tell your massage therapist if you might be allergic to any ingredients.

A massage session may last from 10 to 90 minutes, depending on the type of massage and how much time you have. No matter what kind of massage you choose, you should feel calm and relaxed during and after your massage. Breathe normally throughout your massage.

Your massage therapist may play music during your massage or talk to you, but you can tell him or her if you prefer quiet.

If a massage therapist is pushing too hard, ask for lighter pressure. Occasionally you may have a sensitive spot in a muscle that feels like a knot. It's likely to be uncomfortable while your massage therapist works it out. But if it becomes painful, speak up.

Don't be afraid to ask questions as:

· Are you licensed, certified or registered?
· What is your training and experience?
· How many massage therapy sessions do you think I'll need?
· What's the cost, and is it covered by health insurance?

The Take-Home Message About Massage

Brush aside any thoughts that massage is only a feel-good way to indulge or pamper yourself. To the contrary, massage can be a powerful tool to help you take charge of your health and well-being, whether you have a specific health condition or are just looking for another stress reliever.

There are many reasons to do yoga, the benefits for both body and mind are plentiful! Not only does it offer a way to keep the body strong and healthy it also helps to settle the busy-ness of the mind. 🤸🏻‍♀️ My own journey into yoga began in my teens after struggling with my mental health. I found it a great way to just be present and offer some kind of physical challenge as well as an opportunity to focus and ground myself. 🌿 Yoga will draw different people to the practice for different reasons. Whether that be for some much needed relaxation, a way of strengthening the body, recovering from injuries, to ease backpain, to help with digestion, to feel more flexible, to help with chronic health conditions. The list goes on. ✨ I have always loved keeping my body active, but have always felt a spiritual pull as well. For me yoga offers all the elements I need to find meaning and peace in my life. The mental well-being aspect is perhaps most important to me due to my own experiences and definitely something that everyone can benefit from in this fast paced, modern world. ☮️ Thankfully you don't have to be super flexible to be able to do yoga. You just have to have a desire to start and an open mind and open heart 💓💓 If any of this resonates with you and you would like to enjoy the benefits yoga has to offer come join me for a lunch time beginners class ☺️ 4 week beginners block: ✨ Weds 10th November ✨ 12-1pm ✨ The Loft Glasgow ✨ £30 for the block Email [email protected] to book your space ☺️✨💜 Website www.mamanova.co.uk Instagram @amanda_young_yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐤𝐢? ✨🙌 I remember going for my first Reiki session years ago. I didn’t know what to expect. My aunt once told me she’d had an out of body experience during one of her sessions so I was a bit nervous about that. I wasn’t sure I was quite ready to float into the ether. What would this magical mystical energy have in store for me? ᴡᴇʟʟ, ɪᴛ ᴄᴇʀᴛᴀɪɴʟʏ ᴡᴀsɴ’ᴛ ᴛʜᴀᴛ! 🙈 I kinda laugh at myself now, when I look back. I’ve been giving and receiving Reiki for years and not once have I had an OBE. That’s not to say it doesn’t happen, I’m not calling anyone a liar. It’s just that, in the main, Reiki benefits are of the much more gentle, relaxing kind of results such as: ✅ Reduced stress and anxiety ✅ Better sleep and relaxation ✅ Heightened intuition ✅ Boosted self-healing ✅ Balanced chakras and unblocked energy ✅ Strengthened spiritual connection It can also help ease pain and discomfort, but I believe Reiki should be used as complementary to any medical treatment you need to receive. 🌿 For me, personally, when I receive Reiki, sometimes I feel warmth, sometimes I see colours, sometimes I feel gentle waves rolling through me, sometimes I see flashing visions, sometimes I don’t feel much at all. It just depends on what MY body, mind and spiritual being need at that time. 💚 Everyone is different. And every session can be different each time you go. There is no right or wrong. Reiki goes where it needs to go and does what it needs to do. We don’t control it; we are just the channels. So please don’t go into your Reiki session expecting a light show or spirits appearing – you will most likely be disappointed ☺️ It is gentle and soothing energy – and much of the benefits are actually felt AFTER the treatment as opposed to during. ✨ Have you felt any other benefits from Reiki? Comment below as I’d love to know. 👇 If you think someone could benefit from knowing about this then why not share to your newsfeed by hitting the arrow icon below the picture? 👇 💚💚💚💚 If you’d like to book a Reiki session with me at The Loft Glasgow then send me a message. You can find more info on my website: www.nibbledapple.com
