🧠 Would you recognise the signs of a stroke?
Today is World Stroke Day, and we're sharing one simple message that could save a life: know the signs and act FAST.
A stroke happens when the blood supply to part of the brain is interrupted, either by a blockage or bleeding. Without urgent treatment, brain cells can become damaged.
🚨 Remember FAST:
F – Face: Has their face fallen on one side?
A – Arms: Can they raise both arms?
S – Speech: Is their speech slurred or confused?
T – Time: Call 999 immediately.
💙 At Wellbeing Clinic Essex, we believe prevention and education are essential parts of looking after your health. Understanding your blood pressure, cholesterol and cardiovascular risk factors can help you take steps to reduce your risk of stroke.
But if you suspect a stroke, don't wait for an appointment — call 999.
